20241219 - Up in the am and not feeling great. Made my way in to work, passed out candy canes, had lunch with the team, did a couple things, took out the trash and then headed home. Home and just relaxed and did stuff on the PC until late.

L made dinner and they ate and headed to Sam & Lena's school concert. I headed to bingo at Signatures. David, Kelly and Chaff joined me. Gma&paW showed up a bit later for the last round. Headed home and not up too late tonight.

20241216 - Up in the am and in to work. Got some things done. CB, Cory and I went to Old Bag for lunch and then did a couple things after to wrap up the day. Talked to Tuffy on the E550 and the diagnostics guy coming out tomorrow to evaluate. Home and ate with L and then headed to the Booster meting. I had to run the meeting tonight and the meeting took 6 minutes! I stayed and hung out with the baseball booster reps on things that they need to learn to take over from me. Headed to Bible Bangers after that for a short meeting. Home, still not feeling great and headed to bed.

Symptoms-Cough and congestion for 6 or 7 weeks.
Minute clinic 11/19- sinus infection and bronchitis. Antibiotic and inhaler and benzonatate for cough. Felt a little better, cough never left.
12/1- urgent care, coughing, vomiting, fever. Chest X-ray was clear, negative strep test. Prednisone and stronger benzonatate.
Continued coughing and coughing up mucous.
He’s taking over the counter cold meds, we have air purifier in room and humidifier…

20241205 - In to Worthington office for the day. Home and Hazel and I ran to the store to get her some food. Home got L and we headed to see 'Wicked'. I had arranged for another couple to meet us there and it was a surprise to L. It was a good plan as L and Shannon were throwing their arms up and singing along... John and I just looked at each other like OMG... I am sure they had more fun seeing it together...

20241110 - Woke up super late. L@Gma&paB's, G at baseball. I got up finished sorting gems, things at the desk and then got cleaned up. GmaW here, I ran and got a pizza, then Russ & Nancy, Lori and Mark Halstead showed up with GmaW from their trip to Minnesota for aunt jane's funeral. We chatted a bit and had some pizza before they hit the road. L home and we caught up on the day and headed to bed early.

20241109 - Up in the am and LG&I headed to Capital University for the senior recruitment day. There were presentations by a bunch of school admins and athletic department folks and coaches. We then ate in the dining hall before a tour of the school. After the tour we chatted with some of the coaches and they know and want G to come there. We stopped at the car place on the way home. Home and rewound the Buckeye game and threw the ball to Hazel a bit.

20241108 - Up in the am and had a coupe work calls. Got a couple things other things done for work and then headed out on some errands. Put new registrations stickers on L and my car, bank to get cash, gas station to fill up, car place to get title papers, BMV to transfer the plates, Reynoldsburg to pick up auction wins and another auction pick up in Gahanna. Home, unpacked, and then L&I met the Mallonns for dinner at El Vaquero. It was a nice dinner and time to catch up with them. After dinner we walked around Home Goods before heading home. I sorted gems I got at auctions and then L&I watched TV until she was asleep. G home, Gahanna football got knocked out of the tournament tonitght.

20241107 - Up in the am and D and Hank here because the kitchen was getting remodeled in their apartment. I hit the desk and got some stuff done and then took breaks to play with the dogs. D&I took the dogs on a mile walk. L home and cooked dinner. Hannah stopped and we all ate dinner. L headed out to play with her girlfriends. Hazel and I stayed home and paid bills all night.

20241106 - Up late and too the desk. Got my work done. L home from school, G home from school/baseball. L&I headed to Signatures for bingo and dinner. Dave & Kelly were there and it was a good time. Next stop was the Dolfin Lounge whe we met up with the McClain’s for Tiff’s bday party. It was a karaoke extravaganza, and a great time! Tiff sang, I sang, I got another dad singing, it was a riot. Headed home about 11:30pm. 
20241105 - First Time Voter!
20241105 - Up too early and G&I headed to the the voting booth for G’s first vote. The lady there asked G if it was his first time voting, and then announced to everyone he was a first time voter and everyone cheered and clapped for him. In the car for a long trip north to Heidelberg University. It was a very personalized visit and we met with the assistant baseball coach, a guidance counselor and a cheerleader gave us a tour and a t-sheet. The school is small but beautiful! On to Bowling Green State University for a completely different experience. Huge room full of people for the presentation part and 3 families per tour guide. It was a much bigger campus with a lot more walking, very similar to Miami, except the buildings and girls were prettier at Miami. After the tour we headed home. Home and gave L a report of the day and then G took off. J stopped by after he and D voted and we chatted a bit and ate dinner. L&I hung out the rest of the evening watching the election results come in. I was up until 4am watching and have to say I believe the citizens of the USA sent a HUGE message to the Left tonight, ‘We’re done with all the goofy shit you have been trying to normalize the last several years.’ Hopeful this country will correct course with this opportunity…

20241102 - Up in the am and getting things rolling for an early party. Got the chili cooking, dogs steaming, nacho cheese and water heating, kitchen door off and folks started showing up. It was a great game and a busy day. We had 110 folks at our party and it was FUN!

Swung by GFS in Hilliard to pick up 2 bags of chili, in to the office and met the gang at Old Bag for lunch. Worked late to catch up a bit, home L was doing trick or treat, had about 15 kids. Worked on getting the garage set up, looks good

20241030 + Up way too early and G&I drove to Earlham U in Richmond IN. We listened to the blah blah took a tour and both know this is NOT the place for G… we had meal tickets to eat in the cafeteria, but G got ahold of his buddy Nick at Miami U so we headed to Oxford OH. We picked Nick up and went to lunch and Mac & Joe’s for lunch and to get his perspective on the school and see how it was going for him. Because of lunch we were late getting to our Miami visit, but that was ok because we made it on time for the tour. We walked all over campus and this place is HUGE, made G a bit uneasy, but a beautiful campus. We headed home and got there about 6pm. Then L&I ran to GFS to get food for the upcoming party. Home, exhausted, cleaned up work email and myself and watched the Dodgers win the World Series with G.

20241029 - Up and working from home. New wall oven got delivered today. G got Hank after school and he and Hazel played and hung out in the backyard. Had some work calls, took dogs on a walk, more work calls. L home. D stopped to get Hank. L&I headed to Westerville for an open house at our friends new business, BB Aesthetics. Super neat old building they converted to a medical office. McClains were there and some other folks from Gahanna so we hung out until the part was over. Home about 8pm and started installing the wall oven. Finished that up about 1am and then started some programming for work.

20241026 - L&I headed to the OSU game, there was no parking at the fairgrounds this time so we had to hunt and got super luck finding a garage pretty close to the stadium. We hiked to there and then hiked up and up, 5 rows from the top and we were not coming down until it was over. Great game! After the game we went to Ding Ho for their famous Wor Sue Guy adn ti was not good, but the egg rolls were AMAZING! then on the Amy's Donuts for some maple bacon long johns that were AMAZING. Home

20241022 College visits with G, lunch at little bakery in Springfield before heading to Clark State to meet his buddy Toby. TOby gave us a tour of the school and then we went to their baseball field where we ran in to Adam. G and the boys chatted about the school for a bit. then G&I walked over to the Wittenberg baebalsfield and met with the coach. After that G&I took Toby and Adam to dinner at a little place called Stuedbaker's and had an amazing meal. Headed home, go thome late.

20240925 - Up and L&I headed to the OSU eye, ear nose and throat building to check in with the surgeons. Nose Dr. told me she removed all on my cartilage, it had been broken into 5 pieces, and replaced it with cadaver cartilage. She pulled some big stints out she put in and said everything looks great! She took the tape off my nose and we headed up to the eye Dr. he looked everything over and was happy with the progress. As a treat we stopped at Amy’s Donuts. OMG the BEST donuts EVER!

I’M ALIVE! Surgery took 4 hrs. So when I woke up after surgery they got me sitting up and they let Lori and Jack come back to see me. I then scrunched up the right side of me face and my right hand and when Lori and Jack came around the corner is said in an after stroke like voice talking from the left side and shook my right right arm and said loudly ‘I TINK SOMTING IS WONG!’ The look on Lori’s face was priceless and then the nurses yelled at me ‘You stop that!’ 🤣🤣🤣

20240906 - Ran over to Worthington to let the AC guy in to sever room to get things cooling down. Home and on the pc a bit before L&I headed to Wendy’s to get some dinner and sneak it in to the movie. We went to see Beetlejuice Beetlejuice. Cute little show. 20240825 - Up early and G&I headed to Ada OH for a baseball camp at Ohio Northern University. Got him there by noon and checked in, he knew a couple of the guys. I took a drive around the campus and then around town. There's a whole lot of nothing there... nothing even close... Made my way back to the baseball field and parked so I could sit in the back of L's car with the hatch up on this lovely day and watch. I got my Bible Bangers reading done and played some games on the laptop while the boys did their thing. They played a game and G was at short, 2nd, 3rd and pitched. He went 2-4, one of those being a triple and the other a single, where he stole 2nd and the coach was out on the field watching from second, and told him he likes how he gets big leads. G then said to him 'Wait till you see this' and took off and stole 3rd before the pitch, hahahaha! We finished up around 6pm and headed home. G found us a place to eat in Marion so we stopped for a bite. Home and L and hazel were happy to see us. Hung ouut and watched a movie with L before staying up way too late on my phone.

20240804 - Up late and got the garage cleaned out of items L had brought up from her basement cleaning extravaganza... I loaded it up in her car and Hazel and I took it to Goodwill. We then went through the carwash, Hazel not a big fan, and then I hand dried her car and got the rims clean. One more stop at the gas station to fill up the car and get some beer. Home and hanging out on the back porch, got Hazel's pool out and we played in it. The neighbors stopped by and Joanna and I splashed around in the pool with Hazel. Bill McClain stopped by and we had a couple of beers and chatted about baseball next year. About 6pm L&I headed to D&DGF13's apartment for dinner. It was really good and their place is looking really cute. I was yelling out the window at the people in the pool, L was not amused, so we headed home. Hung out on the back porch and watched part of the new Planet of the Apes movie until L reminded me the House of the Dragon was on. in and watched that, guess it was the season finale.. super good! watched a bit more TV waiting for G to get home.

20240801 - Up in the am and G followed me to the window tint place with L's car. Dropped the car off to get the front two windows tinted the same as the rest of the car. G took me to work and I got the keys for the company truck and G&I headed to the storage unit to bring some of it back to the office. We got a huge amount of things moved and finished up right before my lunch meeting and G headed home. Finished the day at the desk and Lonie took me to get L's car, IT LOOKS AWESOME! Drove L's car home and she's not impressed with the tint, she thought I got the whole thing tinted, she didn't realize everything but the front two were not tinted... Headed out back with Hazel to throw the ball and chill the rest of the night.

20240731 - Up in the am and to the desk. Go ta couple of things done, took hazel on a walk and L cleaning out the basement. After work I threw the ball to Hazel a bit and then L&I headed down town to see J's apartment. It is accessible from an alley off of Chittenden, so a bit tricky to find. We swung by Popeye's to get sandwiches. We stopped and asked the little girl with no shoes that was dumpster diving with her family for directions and found it quick. J's place was nice for a campus apartment and he enjoyed showing around. We ate with him and then headed out. We stopped at Signatures on the way home and met up with Chaff and played a couple games of bingo and got a pizza. Home and watched some TV, waiting for G to get home.

20240630 - Up way to early and G, Trent & I got in the car and headed west to Pleasant Hill OH for baseball. We got there in good time, I dropped the boys off and headed to the Dollar Store and loaded up on Gatorade and snacks. Back to the field and the boys won their game! So, we hung out a bit, the boys ate the junk I got at the store and started game two for the day, the Championship! The boys played well and won the Ship! We took some pictures and then headed home. I dropped G and Trent off at the house, said hi to Hazel and J and met Tom and Terrill at Roosters for dinner. Home and relaxing on the back porch, throwing the ball to Hazel and G calls 'My car is dead'... OMG so Jack and I head up to Piada where his car was and tried to start it. We called Mr. Bowman and he showed up with some starting fluid, which turned it over, but it still wouldn't start... G&I called a tow truck and waited and waited. We got the car picked up and delivered to Tuffy and got home around 1am...

20240623 - Up not feeling well, so I stayed in the room while LG and Sal went to the early game. I got some pills in me and rested and checked in on the games occasionally. They lost so they came back to the hotel. We got our stuff together, packed up and headed home. G and Sal rode home with Andrew and L&I took our time getting home. Home and Hazel was thrilled to see us. We got unpacked, I threw the ball a hundred times and watched some TV on the back porch. In and watched some of the of the Olympic trials with L. Checked in with D and he said they would be back by 2:30 so I set an alarm and got the boy's cars out of Doc's yard so they could just take off when they got back. Up at 2:30 to check on the boys. They had a good weekend and came in 2nd.

20240615 - Up, replaced 6 more board on the playset and then cleaned up. Riley came over and helped remove the remaining branches from the backyard. Jodi yelled across the fence and need a couple limbs cut, we chatted for a couple min and I got her cutting done. I jumped on the mower and got the backyard done. J ran and got us subs. He trimmed my neck hairs for me, I ate, shaved my face, showered, loaded things up and headed to Mansfield. Went to Tia's house and get her and headed to Dear Creek Golf Course / Black Dog Tavern to set up. We got things setup, sat on their porch and had a beer waiting for classmates to show up. Super nice place with amazing views. People started showing up right at 6. We had a good sized group, I'd say 60 show up. It was a good time and good to catch up with folks. 20240612 - Up and got some things done at the desk. Hazel and I took a walk down to Tuffy to pick up L's car. When we were there we saw G's old car and chatted with the mechanics a bit about it. They replaced the engine, all the hoses and sway bars and it looks great. We got L's car and dove home. Home and L&G packed up and headed to Cincinnati for a showcase at UC. I finished up my day and headed to the back and replaced the sections of missing fence and tightened up the gate a bit. G's showcase was very long, but L said he did good. They got to the hotel and all good. I hung out on the back porch and some folks came over to hang out, Steve, Riley, Dave and JT. In late, phone was dead, so called L and headed to bed.

20240611 - L&I headed to Dublin Jerome for G's baseball game. I drove Gma&paW's car, got it filled with gas and got caught in horrible traffic and took some weird way there that took and hour... Got there and L and Gam&paW were there and had a call with the Team App guys. Watched the game, they won, G did good hitting tonight. We left and got behind GpaW and blocked traffic so he could change lanes. Home and got gas for L and dropped her off at home and got Hazel. Dropped the car off at Tuffy for an oil change in the morning and we walked home past volleyball and live music at Gatsby's, and a baseball game under the lights at Jefferson. Home and relaxed with L as she packed getting ready for a long weekend.

20240609 - Up in the am and got jeans, a long sleeve shirt and some boots on and headed over to the neighbors yard to cut up the tree. It was massive and I got all the little branches off and then cut my way back to the trunk hanging over the fence, adding some branches as supports as I went. Made a couple cuts on our side and the fence was spared, but the horse is a bit out of whack. G helped a bit and then went in to rest before his game. L, Riley and I stuck it out and got everything cut up, stacked and burning. I then stayed out and cleaned out our back fencerow to assess the repair needed. After the meeting I swung by the auction house and picked up my stuff Gary had been holding for me and chatted a bit. On the way home I swung by the baseball field and got my camera out of the concession stand and chatted with Coach Shade about the building plans. Home and Gma&paW were there dropping off a car for D to drive. We chatt3ed for a bit then ran up to the new Sexton's Burger place to try it out, pretty good! ScottH cancelled on Bible bangers and I said I needed the night to rest, so Chris and ScottS just stopped by my house instead of going to McD's and we chatted and watched baseball on the back porch. 20240601 - Up in the am and L working in the yard while I finished cleaning my office. I then headed out to the garage and took L's seat out and started replacing the cover, but wait... it is the right color, but not the right seat pattern... So I put the old cover back on and reinstalled the seat. I took my car and returned the seat cover to the car place, they will order me a new one. My car started kind of hard when leaving there. Headed to BP to fuel up and get some beer. Went out to start the car and it was dead... L&G cam up with some of those jumper things, they didn't work... Got jumper cables to L's car and after a bit it started. Headed to O'Riley's to get the battery tested. The guys said my battery is fine, it is my starter that is going out... Not happy with that diagnosis I headed across the street to AutoZone and had them test the battery. They reported that the battery, starter, everything was ok... So I have no idea what is wrong. I fired it back up and headed to the car wash. Got the car washed and dried and got my girl in to the garage. I spent the rest of the day working on a spreadsheet of colleges and baseball teams for G. In and L&I watched 'The Gift', good movie. Headed to bed and did my Bible Banger reading.

20240531 - Up in the am and G&I took the Hyundai to the the body shop, they estimate $15k worth of repairs... To the house and to the desk. got some stuff done and took Hazel on a walk and made a couple of calls. Ran to the BMV to transfer the plates from G's old car to L's new one. Swung by the bank and closed an account. Home and finished up at the desk and L&I went to El Vaquero for dinner and then to HomeGoods where I got a bunch of shoes. Home and watched some TV
20240530 - Seeded
20240530 + Up and in to the office. Did a lot of work with Brian today and we hit the Old Bag for lunch. Worked through 5pm and headed home a bit late. When I got home L had a busy day back and forth to the Home Depot getting soil and straw and got her front yard prepped and seeded. It looks nice. SO different with the big tree gone.
20240529 - Baseball Awards
20240529 - Up and worked from home. At the end of the day L&I headed to Hanna Park to help get set up for the Baseball Awards. They went through their blah blah, G got his varsity letter, and then the us Booster Reps handed out the 4 year awards and senior plaques. I then had a seat as they new guys gave an update on our SnapRaise fundraiser where G was the big winner, collecting $1,400 and getting an pile of rewards. The event was over and we had some cake and helped clean up. This concludes my baseball booster activities, I am retired! Home and relaxed and watched some TV.

20240525 + Up way too early in the am and Hazel and I ran out to get breakfast. Home and ate and getting organized for the next couple of days and then headed in to the office to clean it out.

20240525 - Lots of Errands
20240525 - Up late and got myself around and headed out. First stop was a haircut, then on to the carwash to get L's car cleaned up. I called L to get the Mother's Day code from the carwash gift card we got her and she couldn't find it... so spent time in the carwash office trying to recover it from the confirmation number I received when ordering it... no luck... Got her car washed, dried and vacd. On to Cartridge World to get new ink for the printer... the store no longer exists... on to Giant Eagle to get a prescription and ribs for this weekend... Giant Eagle for the first time had laterally only 2 little rack of ribs... they usually have loads of meat. So I looked for brisket = none, pork butt = none, pork loin = none. I was shocked. Across the road to try to cancel a checking account at Wright Pat Credit Union I opened when I thought I would use them for the loan on L's new car... they were closed... On to Kroger to see if they had any meat, they did! SO I loaded up, they were having a sale on brisket, so got one of those. Sale on ribs, so I got 1 each of baby back, St Lous and spareribs. Sale on pork shoulders and loins, so got 1 each of those. While I was waiting for the guy to find my St. Louis style ribs I wandered around the meat counter and ended up getting a whole salmon filet and a pound of cooked shrimp and cocktail sauce... Finally done shopping... Home and unloaded the meat... Got the salmon started and L&I headed out for a couple errands. We swung by the car lot to get her memorandum title and chatted with the guys a bit, our old neighbor Jim was there two days in a row looking at a car exactly like L's but 5 years newer. We then headed to a little nursery place so L could get flowers to put around her now exposed lamppost. Home and L planted her flowers while I got the lights on the back porch restrung. I then headed out front and installed 3 new exterior lights while L continued to move rocks. Got that done and hung the new flag, put up some signs in the garage and replaced the batteries in the front door lock. The salmon was almost done so L&I sat on the back patio with our pound of shrimp and sauce for an appetizer.
When the salmon was done I pulled it right out of the smoker and on to a foil pan where we took our forks and dug in. J appeared and took a huge chuck and came back for seconds. It is SO GOOD fresh. Cleaned up and head in, L&I watched a scarry movie, Monster. I then started another and L headed to bed. I headed in and watched a couple more episodes of Narcos while scrolling through Alibaba until too late.

20240522 - Headed to a 'Fieldhouse' building meeting at the district's central office. I got there 30 min early... The other folks showed up and we discussed the building and concluded there would be no fair way to divide the financial responsibilities and the project has been changed to a long term Booster lead fundraiser. While this is disappointing, it means that baseball will now build their own building over the batting cages. I don't suspect G will every get use of it...
20240515 - J pre-B-Day
20240515 - Up in the am and to the desk. Shipped an ebay item and helped Erin with a data issue and then on calls pretty solid. Took Hazel on a walk, L home and Gma&paW came down with presents for J. J opened some of his gifts and then we went to Mr. Sushi for dinner, it was ok. Home and J opened the rest of his gifts and then L&I watched Survivor and Amazing Race. i was up late on my phone.
20240514 - Too Much Butter
20240514 - Up in the am and to the desk. Helped Erin with a tax problem and after 2 hours decided I was just going to call the IRS and see what they really wanted. I talked to the guy for about 5 min, answered his questions and resolved the issue over the phone... Got more stuff done, shipped some ebay items, had the weekly IT call and took Hazel on a walk. Back to the desk to finish some stuff up and L home and cooked dinner. I finished the day and threw hazel's ball a bit. We ate and then headed to the theater to see 'Fall Guy', super cute movie. L had to leave the theater right at the end of the movie because she had too much butter on her popcorn and her stomach was going to burst... Swung by the post office on the way home and L up late not feeling well. G had a hitting lesson tonight.
20240513 - My View
20240513 - Up in the am and to the office in Worthington. CB here, but spent the weekend in the hospital with more kidney stones, and left early. Brian, Cory and I to lunch. We decided to eat outside for the first time this year and got dusted by the road work... Back to the office to clean up email, get some things done and headed out early to get to the round 1 tournament game. Home, got my stuff and headed to the field. It was a busy night up in the press box and the stands were loaded. It was a tournament game so I couldn't do all my usual sounds, had to remain neutral... The boys played a good game and won round 1! After the game I headed to Bible Bangers and hung out with the guys a bit. Home and up late watching YouTube videos on the Apocryphal book of Baruch.
20240512 - Back Together
20240512 - Up late and L giving Hazel a trim. The backup camera arrived overnight so I got that put in and all the trim and things put back together. This concluded the work on her car (except new rim center caps that will arrive later this week and a driver’s seat cushion). I got L’s phone and got it synced up with her car and then showed her all the stuff that was done. She really didn’t care… we loaded Hazel up and went to the dog store to get her some food and a toy, stopped by the gas station and then home. Home and put some ski thingys on Doc’s new walker and chatted with him a bit as he tried it out. Called GmaW and wished her a happy Mother’s Day. L and I hung out in the backyard relaxing before another busy week. We made one more trip out to Target to get a couple more chairs for the backyard. home and watched American idol before bed.

20240511 + Torn Apart
20240511 + Up and it was raining, JVA game cancelled. I dug in to L’s car and installed all the wiring and tested out a backup camera install. I had 2 cameras, but neither of them fit quite right so I got on Amazon and found one I think will do the trick. I finished running the wires and then put everything back together inside so all I have to do tomorrow is install the camera. D and DGF13 over and we got J&G and took L to Olive Garden for a nice pre-Mother’s Day dinner. Back home and L cut D’s hair and then we watched a movie.
20240510 + Late Deconstruction
20240510 + Up in the am and to the desk. i got some work eBay things shipped, cleaned out some of my old stock and loaded L's car with stuff to take to Goodwill and ship. I headed out and dropped things off at Goodwill, swung by Kroger to get concession stand supplies, then to the high school to clean out their concession stand of stuff for the baseball stand. Back to the house and worked a bit more. L had a school picnic after class and had a good time seeing all of her students, past and present. She ran home for a bit and then back to school to clean up her room for the weekend. When she got home we loaded up the car and headed to the ball field for our last regular season game. G had a bad night, but they still won. Home and L decided to mow, so I decided to start working on her car installing the new 12.3: Android screen with Apple CarPlay. I took out piece after piece and then worked on all the impossible connections to get as far as I could. I stopped at 2am and then researched backup camera installs until 3am...
20240509 - Lesson on Saving
20240509 - Up in the am and headed over to the Worthington office. Got some work done, they brought in pizzas for lunch. Raining here but cleared up in early afternoon. Headed out a bit early to get to the game. It was a close game. G went 0-3 tonight, but they still won. Home and relaxing, G wanted to signup for some Xbox subscription for $17/mo, not without a job he isn’t… I thought I knew a trick, so looked it up and was able to convert my lesser annual subscription to the new thing he wanted by adding some gift cards to my current account. I spent $144 on the gift cards, he loaded them, and then we converted and got what he was looking for through April of 2026. So showed him how reading your emails and spending $144, rather than $425 on a monthly subscription, pays off… Watched some tv with L before heading to bed.
20240508 - Sr. Night
20240508 - Up in the am and to the desk for a call with a provider. I wasn't happy with their product so got us a $100/mo discount! Got some email and other things done and then took Hazel on a walk. Finished up my day, L home and we headed to the ballfield for Sr. Night. L got stuff set up with Mel and I got the press box stuff ready. I ran the music and Randi did the Sr. announcements. it was a very nice ceremony and the boys almost lost the game. Bottom of 6 in a tie and G was first up. he broke his dry spell and got a single and then worked his way around the bases to put us up by 1. They held them in the top of 7 and pulled off the W! what a great ending to Sr. night! We got things cleaned up and then headed home. L&I walked down to Signatures and joined some of the Sr. families for dinner. It was a good night.
20240507 - Pineapples & Shave
20240507 - Up in the am and drove the big ol work truck back tot he office to meet the AT&T guy there so he could put new service in to our server room. I had a call and got a couple of things done while he did the install. Once he was done I packed up and headed to the home office, had to jump on a call as soon as I walked in the door with the team from QuickBase about building a new tracking tool. Finished that call and ran to the Gahanna Jefferson Public School main office for a meeting about the new fieldhouse we are trying to get built. Home and got a couple more things done for work. It started POURING so our game got cancelled for tonight. It was senior night and L was out at the field with bunch of stuff that she had to pack up quick and get home. I took a couple pineapples and carved them out and then filled them with pulled pork, bacon bits, pineapple and bbq sauce, topped with walnuts and cranberries and threw them in the smoker for dinner. They were a hit! L&I gave Hazel a good spring shaving and then headed to bed.
