20250228 - L took off early this morning and I got to the desk. I learned how to use bookmarks in MS Word today, that was pretty cool. Hazel and I took a walk, then threw the ball. G home and I had him run to Burger King to get us dinner. We ate and then he took off and Hazel and I hung out home. L reports making good progress. up way too late.

20250227 - Up in the am noticed G's car all scratched up as we left this morning to drop L off at work on my way in to the Worthington office. At the desk, lots going on today, locks getting fixed, doing some disaster recovery testing. We had pizza for lunch at work and I took some of the left overs home. L packing things up, she's heading to John & Mary's for a couple of days to work on G's quilt.

20250226 - Up in the am and dropped L off at work. In to the Worthington office and got some stuff done before Lonie, MattR and I headed downtown to Schmidt's sausage Huas for an IT lunch on AI. We ait, listened to the blah blah and then Lonie and I headed back to the office and MattR followed his Girlfriends Emily home because she was having car trouble. I dropped Lonie off at the office and headed home. Tried to get some relaxing time and D and Hank showed up to play. L texted me and I Hazel and I went and picked her up. Home for a bit and then headed to Signature's. We had 19 folks join us at bingo tonight, including L's cousin Faith and her husband Joe and we had a good time. No one at our table won big money tonight but it was still a good time. Home and watched some TV and headed to bed.

20250223 - Got some stuff done in the office this morning. Tool Hazel on a walk. J stopped over, and LJ&I ran down to Rusty Bucket for a late lunch and watch the Buckeye basketball game with some French onion soup. We had a nice visit and then headed home. L worked on G’s quilt, it is looking good!

20250222 - In the evening L&I headed downtown to the Ohio Theatre for ‘& Juliet’. We really had no idea what we were getting ourselves in to, and had some HUGE heads in our way, so we settled in to see the show. THE BEST SHOW EVER!!! It was a continuation of the traditional ‘Romeo & Juliet’ set to recent pop music and it was AMAZING!  We had a blast!

20250220 - Up in the am and L started and cleaned off G's car for him... I dropped L off at work on the way in to the Worthington office.

Got to the office got a couple things done and then headed to the nose Dr. for a checkup. All good, and I asked her about mother dizziness I’ve had the last couple weeks. She told me it would like BPPV and I should try the Epley maneuver.  Back to work and finished the day. Home and L working on quilt stuff. I researched and tried the Elpey maneuver and PRESTO! Dizziness gone!

20250219 - Up in the am and to the desk for the day. Hazel and I took a mile walk, it was 13 degrees out. back to the desk, L home and she followed me to drop off the E550 to get the airmatic fixed. I chatted with the guys a sec and then L dropped me off at the house while she headed to her friend Steph's to go see one of her son's basketball games. I threw the ball to hazel a bit and then walked to Signature's for dinner and bingo. Small crowd tonight, Dylan & DGF7, David and Kelly and I, G, Trent and Michael showed up later. Not much wining at our table tonight but had a good time. Walked home, L home shortly after.

20250218 - Worked from home. Took hazel on a walk, it was 8 degrees out so she had to wear her sweater and boots :-) Finished the day, hung out with L while she worked on shirts for a quilt for G. Hazel made herself at home in the kitchen.

20250217 - Up and drove the E550 to Worthington office today. Got a bunch done and CB< Cory and I went to Old bag for lunch. Back to the desk and finished. Headed home and got L. We then headed downtown and grabbed a bite at Morgan's before walking to the Fury game. The Fury won and it was a good time.

20250216 - Up late and Lori brought me breakfast in bed. No she wasn’t being nice, due to the unexpected blizzard of 4” of snow this morning her girlfriends canceled their breakfast plans and she had already cooked stuff. Up and hung out a bit and then Hazel and I headed out and shoveled the walks and drive and L&I headed tho the grand opening of the new Roosters in town. We got friends and family tickets from DGF7. The place looks nice and fresh. It will be a good addition to the neighborhood.

20250215 + Up late and G took me to 1 Unique Motors to get my E550. I let him drive it home 😬 while Hazel and I headed to the pet store. We went in and got some food and treats and a toy, she LOVES going to the store. Home and D&DGF7 there. We hung out a bit and then headed down to Creekside for the Chocolate Walk. Kristina & Brian (worked with her at Flash), and Jeff & Laurie (worked with him at DataField) joined us. It was a crappy day but it was fun to go around with everyone to all the places and try the treats. Home and L&I watched a movie and had leftovers for dinner. 

20250214 - Tattoo 2

20250214 - In bed this morning and heard L get up and open her Valentine's Day card. I then heard her stomping back in to the bedroom, where she proceeded to pull back the covers and rip my shirt sleeve up to see if the tattoo in the picture that I put in her card was real. Yup it is real. I got it in Texas when G got his and hid it from her until today! Up and to the desk, got some stuff done, took hazel on a walk and then L & I headed out. We went downtown to the Short North and had dinner at OX-B's a wings place that was attached to Brew Dog. We then headed into the Garden Theater to see Nine the Play. It was interesting... Home and hung out until bed.

20250213 - So woke up at 3am and that was that .Had a good 4 hours sleep but then the mind was racing. L was up in the middle of the too. Soon her alarm went off and we got up and ready for the day. I took her to work and then continued in to the Worthington office. At the desk getting things done.

20250212 - Up in the am to the desk. Pretty drained today. I did take Hazel on a walk. At the end of the day L followed me to the car lot and we dropped off the E550 to get the airmatic fixed on it. We then ran home for a minute and then to Signatures for bingo. We had 12 tonight; Gary & Marlene, D & Hanna, Gary Huggler and his friend, Cathi Shade, Shawn Prater and Dave & Kelly. We had a good time. Home and had no problem falling asleep tonight.

20250211 - Up in the am and to the desk and realized the blood draw I thought was for tomorrow was actually this morning and I missed it... So, I jumped online to see if there were any other times available for today and there was at 2:30 which would work perfect with our eye exams today, and I scheduled it, or so I thought... I jumped on a call that the host never joined, so Lonie and I hung up. Got a couple of things done then rushed through my IT call so I could make it to my blood draw. As I was closing down window I noticed the Labcorp website said it timed out and to 'Please try scheduling your appointment again later.'... So I tried and the only things available was for tomorrow... So, I went anyway to see if they could work me in. I got in and they said we have a student with us today, would it be ok if she drew your blood? I said sure, and as son as the the needle touched my skin i yelled out 'OWE!', it scared them but I thought it was funny! Blood drawn and on to Home Depot to return the toilet fill valve I didn't need then I headed to the eye Dr. I was a bit early so thought I would get the car washed. I drove through the car was and noticed that my hood ornament was gone. As I exited the car wash I heard something dragging... then it stopped... then I saw some large objects in the road behind me. I turned around and got out to look and the hood ornament and the ENTIRE GRILL had been ripped from front of my car! It was 3:18 and I had to be at the eye Dr. at 3:20. So, I gathered up the pieces and headed to the eye Dr. Made it to the eye Dr. and had to start filling out forms for all 5 of us. It took forever. G showed up, I was still filling out forms. L showed up, I was still filling out forms... Finally done and I headed back for my exam. Vision really didn't change, BUT they found a spot on my retina they are worried about that looks like it may be detached, so I have to go to a specialist to get it checked it out... D showed up an got his eyes checked and got yelled at by the Dr's for wearing his 'Daily' contacts for multiple days. So, I talked them in to letting him try the 'Monthly' version. J never showed up... Done with the eye Dr. and I headed to back to the car wash to fill out an incident report. I told them they could probably find my hood ornament right after the first brush. A guy disappeared and came back shortly holding the hood ornament. I have gone through this car was dozens of times and nothing like this has ever happened. Done with the report and though, I wonder if Tuffy had to remove my grill for some of the repairs they did so stopped there on the way home and they said 'we didn't do any work that would require us to remove the hood ornament or grill... Home and L had dinner ready. I threw Hazel's ball once and headed in to get a big bourbon after the day I've had.

20250210 - Up in the am and headed to the Worthington office, it is only CB & I today. We went to the Old Bag for lunch and had a nice chat. Back to the desk for a couple hours before heading home. L cooked us some dinner and we ate while we watched the news. Played with Hazel a bit before heading to Bible Bangers. We are reading Genesis, which I love, and the new guy is caught up in thinking we all have to believe God's days are the same as our current 24hr days and that dinosaurs were on the ark. Home and watched the Bachelor with L before heading to bed. Up late and finished off the 'Power of the Rings'/

20250209

20250209 + Up late and L&I headed out on some errands. We hit the Home Depot to pick up air filters for 2025, Home Goods to get a new hamper, Giant Eagle to get groceries and the Agape to see G at his first day of the new job and get some lunch. home, unpacked, ate and then hung out. Hazel and I ran to get gas for the week. Home and settled in to watch the Super Bowl, not very good, but glad Kansas didn't win again.

20250208

20250208 - Up in the am and Gma&paW here for a visit and to do some things for the upcoming Maple Syrup Day @ the Farm. D and Hank stopped by for a run. L&I hung out and Ggf5 showed up and they watched a movie. L&I dressed up and headed to the Hilton downtown for dinner at the ‘Dinner Detective, Murder Mystery Dinner’. We had to pick fake names and then go around and interview other people of the 100 to learn about them and try to figure out who the murderer would be. Then a person ran in with a knife hanging out of there side screaming and fell to the ground bleeding. A pair of detectives came in and interrogated folks around the room, helped us gather some clues and then left while dinner was served. We poured over the clues. Soon the detectives came back in and had more people stand and do various hilarious things. Then on of the detectives had L stand up and started questioning her. They knew she was a teacher and that she had a fake ID in college. And then they said ‘And we found this on the body!’ and held up a picture of her! The other detective said ‘Not only did we find one picture, but two!’ and he held up a different picture. 

L said to me ‘I’m going to kill yup’. Which is the wrong thing to say to the detectives at a murder mystery dinner! Hahaha! We then had dessert and shortly after the detectives were back with the last clues, humiliating actions for some of the guests, plus 2 more murders! We then had some time to write down who we thought it was, their motive and what supporting evidence. One guy figured it out! I was supper close but missed one detail. It was a BLAST! Of course I had arranged for L to be a suspect and provided the pictures. L had fun, but I don’t think she’ll ever admit it.

20250207 - Up in the am and L&I headed to a small church for JT’s funeral. It was a very nice service and very sad. We went to the grave site and it was incredibly sad. 

It was not until we got back to the church did the girls have a chance to connect. L, Marlene, Teresa met up to hold up their sister Steph. We ate and socialized a bit and then headed home. We just hung out and Hazel and I took a walk. G headed out with Ggf5 and some friends to a trampoline place.

20250206 - Up and in to the office. Headed to the Occularist after lunch and got fitted for a new eye, that I’ll get in a couple weeks. Home and got on the laptop. L home, she met Gma&paB and Nicole at JT’s calling hours and then went out for a late lunch. We just hung out and watched tv. Tiff & Amaya stopped by for a visit.

20250205 - Up and wfh today. L had work at her school for registration this evening so I walked to Signatures and had a table for 18. The table filled up and we had a handful of first timers. 

AND THEN Mark & Mandy Ransom walked in… they thought they swung by and surprise us. But there were no more seats anywhere, so they had to sit at the bar. I hung out with them for a bit and made the rounds selling baseball discount cards and chatting. L showed up and a good time was had by all! Home and G got home and told us he just fell on the ice…

20250204 - Up super late and to the desk. Finished the day and took Hazel on a walk and threw her ball. L cooked us some dinner. We ate and watched the news and I headed to the gym.

20250203 - Up and in to the Worthington office. Only Cory and I here today. We went to Old bag for lunch and then back to the office and i distributed paper towels and then back to the desk. Finished up the day and headed home. We had a record high of 64 degrees in Columbus today and it was beautiful out. I got home, L was helping Steph get clothes together for the calling hours and funeral, G was at practice or his new job. Hazel and I took a big walk, hung a couple maple sap buckets out and threw her ball. Hung out on the back porch until time to go to Bible Bangers.

20250202 - Up LATE, G at baseball practice, Hazel had a seizure. Watched some TV with L and she cooked us a turkey breast with mashed potatoes and gravy for a late lunch. Hazel and I took a big walk down to Creekside and threw her ball. Hazel got a leg washing because all the mud. Hung out with L. D, Hanna and Hank came over. I ran to Golden China to pick up dinner, J stopped over for dinner. We had a nice meal and the dogs were outside running and playing. Hazel got her second leg bath of the day... Hung out, watched Grammy's, couldn't sleep.

20250201 - UP too early and to the high school to set up and run the concession stand for a girls wrestling tournament. Very boring as there was very little business. Home and L home. She filled me in on the goings on at Steph's and then we took Hazel on a walk. Then L removed some Christmas decorations from outside and Hazel and I returned something to the UPS store. Sat down and trying to figure out the next week.
