20130626 - Alamo

20130626 - Up early and flew to Austin.  Had some time to kill and thought I may never get this close again, so I headed to the San Antonio and the Alamo.  I found a parking place right up front and took a tour.  What a cool place I remember from movies and stories I heard as a kid.  Drove back to the hotel and had dinner there.  The semi final was rained out again tonight.  If they get rained out 1 more night maybe I can be there at the game :-)

090411 - Another Bee Victim!

090411 - Up 6:15 the big C factory for the day w/ P... pretty SLOW, but got stuff done. Headed back to US @ 6:15 so another looonnng day. Stopped by the Bee with Andre, another mate, this time from the Netherlands. Back to the hotel to do???

090409 - Big Bee

090409 - Up and on the road to the Reynosa plant. Got lost in downtown Reynosa :-( finally made it to the plant for a long day... Jack called me tonight, he got his blue belt! Way to go Jack! We left the plant and headed back to the hotel and I routed us past one of my favorite landmarks. Here is Ahndi, a mate I work with from Scotland, with the 'World's Largest Killer Bee'. heading out to get some food.

080611 - Another day of flows and talks w/ P and ClS. However today was in Mexico... Reynosa... I got to see a couple of old CLS friend which was nice, but would rather be anywhere else.... Here is Lee w/ the worlds largest killer bee.

071216 - JFK

071216 - in DFW for meetings. Had Andre fly in and meet me on Sunday. Didn't have anything planned so we head to Daley Plaza where Andre loaded up w/ tourist stuff and we got the 'true story' of how JFK was shot...

071106 - Worlds Largest

071106 - Up & out. First stop was the worlds largest equestrian bronze sculpture. Then to the other hotel to meet up w/ Palm.

071105 - Cattleman's Steakhouse

071105 - After a long day of travel and several hours work we ended up at The Cattleman's Steakhouse. It is 3 miles out in the dessert, we even saw a wild coyote while eating.

071105 - Work?

071105 - Up saw the boys off to school and did a lot of work fast. Lori attempted to take me to the airport but was too dizzy... scares me. Got on the plane anyway... Hit DFW and jumped on an earlier flight to El Paso. Got to El Paso and it was HOT. Walked across the parking lot to the hotel and then hit the water slide (not really, just teasing the boys). Got settled in and now heading out to dinner with some Palm guys.

070831 - Trip to Atlanta

070831 - Up and to the airport. We got to ORD with no major events. Jack REALLY thought it was cool. In ORD we were able to get an earlier flight but had to sit pretty far apart. Jack & Grant slept the whole way to atlanta, thank goodness! Got there had 1 bag lost. Got to the rental car place and it was raining about as hard as it did in some of the hurricanes we went through in Willminton NC, we got SOAKED getting into the car. We made it to the rehersal just in time for Jack to walk down the isle... Then still dripping wet we headed to the hotel and grabbed a bite to eat. About 10 I went back to the airport to get the lost bag and some supplies for Grant. Back to the hotel about 12...

20050402 - Seeing the Sites

20050402 - Up in the am and L&I headed to downtown Dallas to Delany Plaza where President Kennedy was shot and to a nearby shopping place. We then headed to Fort Worth and saw a cattle drive and walked through shops. We met Beth from work for dinner. L heads out tomorrow morning.
