20211220 - Errands
20211220 - Up in the am and everyone home for winter break. I got around and too the desk and dove in to work. It was a focused day of getting things done and making progress. At the end of the day L&I headed out. We went to the Post office to get more stamps and then the Home Depot in Westerville to pick up some drain supplies they didn't have at our store. We then headed to Reynoldsburg for me to pick up some Booster envelopes to ship baseball discount cards in. Home and we had some leftovers and watched one of our new favorites, Homestead Rescue.
20110222 - Pins flying
20110222 - Up, L into work, the boys and I at home. Ivo & Hans over for a short discussion and making plans for the afternoon. J&I to tax accountant, D&G home alone :-o Home with lunch and all ok. Ivo & Hans back, did some work, then played Wii with the boys. Hans & Ivo headed back to ORD. J&I reading books and caught a cat nap. All out for a nice dinner at Max and Erma's. Home and watched the A-team. All boys to bed, watched 'Frantic' with L (sleeping).End of a long, fast and good weekend.
20110221 - Gun & Blizzards
20110221 -Up in the am and the visitors from Holland showed up. They showed me what they have been working on and it looks really cool. I packed the car up; Hans rode shotgun, Ivo, Joe, LDJ&G got in the back. We headed north to visit our friends at Spazzmonkey. L and the boys stayed at the Farm and played, GpaW went with us to Spazzmonkey and all talked shop for a couple hours. Then back to the farm where we did some gun shooting in the blizzard like conditions. The boys from the Netherlands did pretty good. We had pizza in the farmhouse and then headed home on a very stressful drive down 71. I have never seen it that bad before. It took us 2.5 hours, a stop to clean the windshield off once and Hans had his hand out the window scraping as I continued driving :-o We made it home just in time to set up the garage for a MasterMind Garage meeting. Here Hans and Ivo showed there stuff to the guys and we had good discussion. A long and very productive day.091218 - Singing, Ponies & Farm
091218 - Up and put in a couple hours. Then LJG, Hans, Champaign & I walked back to the school to join D in a whole school sing along. Back home and when D arrived from school we all loaded in the car and headed to the Farm. Hans & Champaign got the grand tour. G showed Champaign how to give Nibbles a teat, and bless her city girl heart she did it with much anxiety.

Hans gave it a go too.
In to the barn for a swing on the rope and a view of the cows. We had a great dinner from Chinatown in the old farmhouse and GpaW gave a wonderful history lesson.
Drove back home, got the boys to bed. We sat around and chatted until the girls went to bed. Then Hans helped me try to find an acceptable place for the upcoming summer vacation.
091217 - Far Away Friends
091217 - Up and focused on one problem for work pretty much all day... Then quickly grabbed the fam and headed out to an unplanned funeral home visit for our neighbor Selma Horn. Selma was a kind lady and always so very nice to us and the boys. She lost her battle with cancer Tuesday night surrounded by tons of her family.
We then got dinner, stopped home to eat, a quick change, then off to the Columbus Zoo to meet some friends that had need driving in from Chicago all day. We met up with Hans, a buddy I work with from Amsterdam, and his girlfriend Champaign, from California currently working on her Phd in Chicago, to see the millions of lights at the Zoo. The lights were spectacular and it wasn't too cold, if one kept moving...
We got to see lights, monkeys, snakes, fish and have hot cocoa, all while my family actually got to meet people I work with and talk about. It is hard for them to realize I do actaully work with folks all over the world while sitting in my office at home. And it actually proved that I do have a job ;-)
We headed home, got some tired boys to bed, and stayed up for some very good enjoyable conversation with our guests. Now everyone settled in for the night, with a big day planned for tomorrow!

080424 - Lunch
080424 - Here we have some interesting specimens... Hans, the Goleum looking dude, is a damn good developer w/ us. He has saved my ass many many times & loves American women. Ben, the 'hell-a-good' supporter in the middle & Lee my partner in crime. Here they are enjoying a good Chinese buffet! We have worked far too late every night this week, handing our issue off to the Almere team that has really pulled through and fixed whatever we found each night and gave us good news every morning. We are now in really great shape with probably the best organized effort I have seen thus far, and ready for whatever the customer is going to throw at us.
I have been talking to L each night and everyone is doing well. She said Howdy had a great Karate midterm and the instructors all were impressed with his progress and especially his weapons. He is exceptionally amazing w/ the nunchucks. L said she was really proud of him. Really wish I would have been there...
Now I'm in San Jose getting ready for a red-eye home, a short work day and then up to the farm to get everything set up for the maple syrup event this Saturday.
