20220501 - Pizza Party

20220501 - L up early and went to church. I got some things ordered from the grad party list and then G wanted to go to Trent's so he drove over. I headed back to the house and headed up to the boys bathroom to clean it up and re-caulk it. It turned in to a much bigger project than I anticipated and took FOREVER. L was outside with Hazel edging flow beds and pulling weeds and cleaning things up outside, looks great! I headed down and started working on the grape arbor, not a lot, just pulling the vines that went up in to the trees down. I ran to get G and we then stopped and picked up some pizzas. D&DGF13, J&JGF6 were there when we got back and we had a nice dinner on the patio. The boys threw the ball a bit and the girls discussed prom. It was a nice evening. Everyone headed out and L&I cleaned things up and watched American Idol while I did some Booster stuff.

20220401 - L's 51

20220401 - Up in the am and L was out to bfast with her friend Theresa.  I couldn’t smell or taste my toothpaste this morning... J up late and decided today, the last day of his Spring Break that he would take everything out of his room and do a proper cleaning... I took a covid test and it was negative, at the desk all day and made plans with DJ and their girlfriends to have dinner hereat the house because L being still a bit sick didn't feel like going anywhere. I finished up the day and L&I ran up to Olive Garden to pick up a feast. Home and DJ and their girls showed up and we sat down and hid a nice dinner. After dinner we all headed to the basement and watched J&JGF6 play a funny little team game on the Xbox and L and DGF13 worked on a puzzle L started at Christmas. It was a very enjoyable evening.

20220207 - 1st Bucket!

20220207 - Up in the am and LJ&G at school. Hazel and I up and working from the living room this morning. I headed in to the office and settled in for the day. L&J home after half a day. L took Hazel in a big walk and I got a break later and took her on a short walk. L cooked a big dinner as J and JGF6 were to join us for dinner but that didn’t work… so L&I ate and then D and DGF13 stopped by and hung out. We chatted and made fun of people on the Bachelor. D ran and picked up G from baseball for us. When the show ended they heard out back and hung the first maple sap bucket! J home late. To bed in good time, did some reading.

20211216 - More Phishing

20211216 - Up in the am and LJG and Gma&paB all to school. I got up and jumped on a pretty frustrating morning call. Locked to the PC fighting a phishing attack until about 2 when Hazel and I took a walk. Back to the desk to finish out the day. D and DGF13 stopped over, they were Christmas shopping at Easton. We ordered pizzas and they went to pick them up for us. We had dinner together and watched some TV and the kids took off. L&I watched TV the rest of the night.

20211010 - DGF12

20211010 - Up in the am and L&G in Olentangy for his first baseball practice with the new coach. No idea where J is. I got up and got bills paid for the next couple weeks and got ebay stuff shipped. D and DGF12 showed up. We had never met DGF12 before so it was a treat. L grilled her with all the usual questions and I had a couple, poor girl. She seems very nice. Today is Hazel's bday so D, DGF12 and I took her to the dog park to socialize a bit and then got her a small frosty on the way home. Home and we grilled brats and burgers for dinner. We all sat outside and had a nice meal, chatting and watching football, J&G here too. D&DGF12 headed out and I settled down in front of a TV to watch some football and dig in to my emails to be better prepared for the week. J headed out, G headed upstairs and L is now questioning her green paint choice in the bathroom... I was up late and got a call from J at 1am that he had locked his keys in the car. Hazel and I drove to his rescue and then headed to bed.

20201225 + Merry Christmas!

20201225 + Up LATE (for Christmas), finally not up at 6am to open presents, I think we got up 9:30 or 10ish, this made me VERY HAPPY! First time we have had snow for Christmas for a long time too. The boys came down, got along, were happy to have others open the things they got them. Boys opened their things, D got his bed (early) but got sheets and stuff for it. J got an iPhone 11, G got a gaming recliner. We did a zoom meeting with Gma&paB and the Coles and open the presents we exchanged last weekend. It was a very pleasant morning.

D ran and got DGF11, L made a bunch of food and I grilled some steaks out in the cold with Hazel's help. We had a big late lunch and all were stuffed. We hung out a bit and then D&DGF11 headed out and LJG&I headed to the basement and watched the new Wonder Woman. Pretty good movie. J&G then retreated to their rooms and L&I headed to bed after a very nice Christmas

20201221 - Dog PJs

20201221 - Up in the am and everyone home today. I got my am stuff done and then in to the office for calls. Pretty quiet day. J ran out to sell some of his clothes but only got $4 for 4 trash bags full, he was a little mad... In the evening D&DGF11 stopped by for a visit and Hazel tried on som Christmas PJs I got for her at an auction. L&I headed out to pick up some auction wins. True to history G called with a tragedy... Hazel went #2 in his room while he was 'watching' her and needed instructions on how to clean up after her... L&I got our items and swung past Target on the way home to pick up some shelving for J's closet. Home and L cleaned things up. G&I headed to the basement to watch His Dark Materials and finalize which cards we want to send out for grading. I was up late looking through auctions.

20201108 - Raking, Porch, Crapper

20201108 - Up in the am and ready. D here in good time today but we had to work on his tire and take a screw out of the tread before we got started. G&I swung by and got Trent on way to Farm. We drove slow but D&DGF11 didn't catch us. We got there and I dropped G and Trent off at the Farmhouse with GmaW to start raking leaves. I headed up to the house and got supplies out to work on the back porch railing. D&DGF11 showed up and helped, G & Trent ran the pug around the yard and then we all came in for lunch, GmaW fixed a nice lunch. D, DGF11 and I finished off the railing and it looks great. I have to put some screws in to hold the 4x4 caps on then it will be done. We cleaned up the backyard and I headed in to the basement bathroom. Mary & Lucia stopped by and D had to check their tires. I got busy working in the bathroom and got the old busted ring cut out and the new insert glued in. D, DGF11, G and Trent took the pug up to the falls. I got the utility sink set up and had the wrong size drain pipe... So I got the toilet set and all hooked up, works good. Headed down to the barn to throw trash out with dad and then we worked on a picnic bench and chatted about the future of things.  He seems a bit all over the place and not very logical today. We got our stuff done and headed up to the house. I gathered the boys and we headed down the road. We dropped Trent off, got home, unloaded all the supplies and got them put away. In to the house, got cleaned up and ate. Soon Madden, one of G's buddies showed up. I beat the pants off of them at Trouble in the first game and they won the second so off they went to play the Xbox. Chris came over and we watched some zombies and chatted. He fell off a ladder cleaning his gutters this weekend and had a huge bruise on his side... Upstairs and G and Madden making popcorn and J home from work. Shut the day down, updated my lists ready for the week and headed to bed.

20200622 - Team Work

20200622 - Up in the am and D off to work and L&G to the dentist. I did email in the living room and then headed in to the office to get the week rolling. I don't know what happened to the day but it seemed like it was over before it started... Finished the day and ran G to baseball practice. home and D had me run to Lowe's to pick up pallets they were giving away for free. Home and G and DGF10 were her. Hung out on the back porch, helped D with his pallet project and completely missed Bible Bangers. Not up late but didn't sleep well.

20200615 - New Game

20200615 - Up in the am and J at XC conditioning, L walking Lilly and I got on email. Went up and woke D&G up and then in to the office to get things cleaned up from last week and weekend. All caught up and ready to organize this week and make more progress. Didn't make much progress as somehow the day was over. DGF10 was here and J&I took D&her on in a new hybrid version of corn-hole & frisbee bottle game. It was pretty fun. After G&I smoked'em I headed to Bible Bangers. It was GREAT to see the guys! We all had to get our food through the drive through and then we sat on the patio out front of the restaurant.

20200607 - Lettered

20200607 - Up and had some bfast with LD&DGF10. L ran J to work and D & DGF10 got ready and headed up to the Farm to deliver D’s old car to GpaW. L worked on a couple little projects, G headed to the shed and I replaced the lamppost bulb and helped L get her bike running and then we took a short bike ride around the block. Back home and G was heading out with his friends on his bike. L&I headed to an auction in Carroll OH but it was slim-pickins by the time we got there so we headed to a different auction. We got there and there was plenty of stuff left and we loaded up the car with treasures. I LOVE going to auctions! Home and G had his friends here, he had made food for all of them on the back porch. They helped unload the car and then I got busy listing the things we had purchased. D&DGF10 home eventually and they hung our with L&I on the back porch and told us about the trip, they had fun, watched TV and then played some of the frisbee game. L ran and got J from work and then took him out to a friends house for a bit. Penn stopped over for a beer and a chat and then he ran and brought J home. We headed in and finished the night.

20200514 ‡+ Big Dinner

20200514 ‡+ Up slow from a late night. Got around and at the desk getting things done and on the phone. L in to work to clean out the supply closet today, D up and ready for DGF10 to arrive and run errands, J&G up doing homework. I had a good solid day at the desk. Out of the office and had dinner with all and then we all played a couple rounds of UNO. Everyone split up and went their own direction and LG&I watched Extraction, a action packed violent movie. DGF10 headed home and we all got to bed in good time.

20200509 - Distant Visit

20200509 - Up in the am and have a huge list of things to get done. I handed out jobs and everyone got busy. L touched up more paint. D helped me cut and install the new handrail and then take it back up to the shop. J did some sanding and then took off skateboarding. DGF10 showed up and D and her headed out to return some stuff at Lowe’s and do some shopping at Target. I then sanded my desk and the steps and returns Back out to the garage and sanded the handrail and applied a coat of poly to the handrail and my desk. I then got down on the office floor and cleaned it and touched up some spots. Everyone back home and L cooked us a nice dinner. L&I played Jumanji with D&DGF10. I headed out to the shop and got a second coat on the handrail and desk and then cleaned the garage from top to bottom. D got a fire going and then the McClains stopped over for a social distant beer and chat. It was a good time. After they left I put a third coat of poly on the handrail and desk and headed to bed.

20200504 - Surprise Guest

20200504 - Up in the am and Lilly & I had some peanut butter toast on the back patio in the sun as I got my day started. Called CB left bday message for him. D tried to install smart garage and that didn't work. I got some things done for work, trying to work outside due to fumes. I called the garage door company and got some assistance installing the smart controls. Still trying to get things done at my outside desk, D&G playing in the backyard and then a new girl shows up! D invited a girl (DGF10) from up by Findlay OH to stop over and visit... She was very nice and stayed for dinner and smores. All in and G&I headed to the basement to watch ''Any Which Way you Can', a great movie!

20190105 - Basketball & UNO

20190105 - Up in the am later than I wanted but J&Trent kept me up most of the night... I got a couple of things done and helped J install a cell phone holder in his car, backup camera wouldn't work, too big of a screen. In the afternoon LG&I swung by the post office and to get gas on the way to Granville for G's basketball game. We ran into the Christian and Becket Long at the game and we got beat BAD! Home and D and DGF8 were there, J's buddy Bryce showed up too and we all played UNO for bit. J&Bryce up late...

20180909 - Circular Sermon

20180909 - Up in the am and JG&I to church. After the circular sermon with no connecting message I woke up and we headed home. J plugged into his Xbox and L&I dropped G off at baseball practice and then continued on to the gym to try out our new membership. We were there for an hour, L on the treadmill and I did a couple different things that apparently didn't kill me. We swung by and picked up G and headed home. We hung out around the house until late afternoon when D should up with DGF7 and we headed to Steak 'n Shake for dinner. After dinner we dropped G off at open gym for basketball. Home and watch some of the Jack Ryan series. I ran to pick G up and his nighttime illnesses set in. Got the boys to bed and L&I finished watching the Jack Ryan series, really good.

20180825 + Early Bday for D

20180825 + Up in the am and J already gone, on the bus to a XC meet. LG&I got around and headed to Pickerington to watch the race. J was running with 523 other kids from 47 schools :-o He did great coming in 168th out of that whole herd. Pretty awesome for a freshman... We then jumped in the car and headed to Wilmington to see D. We got there and had lunch with him and some of his friends in the cafeteria, and then went back to his room for a bit so the boys could see it. DGF7 was there too and we all went to Walmart to get D some more things he needed for school. We then swung by a clothing store to get D some shorts for his internship and then back to the room to put things away. DGF7 needed a nap so the rest of us went out and D showed J&G where his classes were and met us with some friends and they played some basketball until time for dinner. We tried 2 places that had 45min+ waits before finding a hole in the wall BBQ place that was AWESOME. A couple of D's friends went with us and it was an enjoyable. After dinner we headed home and I did some things on the PC and J&G spent some time on the Xbox.

20180814 + Final Prep

20180814 + Barely up this am and got myself around and in to work. I have a feeling it is going to be a long slow day.... It was but I still got a bunch of stuff done. Headed home in good time and L and I caught up on the back porch, D&DGF7 packing D's stuff for college, J at XC and G playing the Xbox. L ran to get J, he stayed home and the rest of us went to On The Boarder for a nice dinner and then Target to get some school stuff for the boys. Home and I had bobble head syndrome on the back porch while L got a bunch of things done. Boys a little snappy tonight as I think they are all nervous about tomorrow... L&I watched a movie, not up late.

20180428 - Tag, Games and Prom

20180428 - Up and to the school for Tag Day and J had track. Bill got G took to baseball in GC. Met up with G at the field to score. L took pics of D & DGF7 for Prom. Freezing cold. Ran to get McD's between games. Game 2 FROZEN! Home got L&J. Dropped J off at friends house for the night, on to Kroger to get Amaya pineapple and carrots for her Bday. Over to McClains, not late D at prom.

20180421 + Mulch Pitch & Question

20180421 + Up in the am and D off to a three-way baseball day. J&G got to stay home and help L&I get some yard work done, they were so excited. G had a buddy come over and they pretty much disappeared. J worked like a trooper and we got the front of the house done, around the porch and grape arbor done. WOW, never expected to get that much done. We then took a break and J headed to the basement and LG Theo and I headed to D's game. 

We got there just as his 2nd game of the day started. I got a report that he played 1 inning in the OF and had an at bat where he got walked... The current game was not pretty, they were getting beat bad and then someone pointed out D was in the bullpen warming up :-o Yes they were short of pitchers so D went in to pitch. He only knows how to throw a fastball and threw a couple good ones, got some strikes, only walked 1 kid and got 6 outs for the Lions, not bad for a non-pitcher... The temperature dropped like a rock so once D was out of the game we headed home to get a couple more things done.

J&I ran to 5 Guys to get $ome hamburger$ for dinner. D got home as we were getting home and we sat and chatted about the day and his pitching a bit. D headed out a bit early to school to meet DGF7 as she got home from their softball tournament and surprised her and asked her to Prom.  They came back to the house and D was all goofy excited... sore from working in the yard all day and to bed.
