20171231 ‡ Slope Riders

20171231 ‡ Up in the am and D&I ran out to Ontario to return a gift we got for L that was defective. We drove back to the Farm through downtown Mansfield to see how it looked. Back tot he Farm and got things loaded up and headed home. Home and D vanished to DGF7s and LJG&I headed out to a local Chinese restaurant for a good New Years Eve dinner. We stopped at the video stor ont he way home and got soem things to watch., .Home and watched Leap and then the TV to see the ball drop in time's square. All to bed Happy New Year!

20171230 - Family Christmas

20171230 - Up to the Farm, dropped off Lilly and headed to John & Mary's in Shelby for the Winger Christmas party. It was great to see all the family there and catch up before a busy 2018. The boys had a good time and love being there. Back to the Farm to open gifts, way too many, and we had a laughing fit watching GpaW open his box of wood :-) Not up too late.

 

20171229 + Good Deal

20171229 + Up in the am and in to work in what feels like a heatwave at 22 degrees today.  Knocking tasks out in the am. Home in the cold, J had some friends over and then watched the Buckeyes destroy USC in the Cotton Bowl!!!

20171228 - Anthony's

20171228 - Up in the am and another freezing ride into work this morning. At the desk most of the day just updating and cleaning things out. Worked straight to 3:30 then headed downtown to Capital University for G's basketball tournament. I met LJ&G there, D was working and then on to DGF7s. We saw all sorts of friend there from past baseball teams and caught up with them. The boys won their first game and LJG&I took a cold short walk to Anthony's Pizza for dinner. The food was AWESOME! Back to the gym for game 2 and the boys got smoked. Home and everyone cleaned up and ready for bed. We stayed up and chatted a while. I was up late watching Netflix and doing things on the PC.

20171227 - Christmas Blur

20171227 - Up in the am and in to work through the 7 degree freeze. Quiet morning in the office getting tasks knocked out. We had our office Secret Santa and I got a super cool Maker's Mark prohibition flask with my name on it!Finished the day and headed home. D worked a bit today and was hanging out with DGF7, J got his drone stuck in a tree and D helped him get it out before J headed to 'Skate Naked' with some friends until late, G was at basketball practice and I got to sit with L for a minute at the puzzle table before going to pick G up. Home with G and hanging out watching Tv and doing a puzzle. J home, D home and we all caught up on the day. I was up late playing with new network and home automation stuff.

20171226 + Not Fluffy

20171226 + Up late and watched some TV with L&G in our jammies. D out with DGF7 and J playing with his scooters. I removed the thermostat from the wall and installed a new Nest smart thermostat which is a bit smaller so that led to wall repair... Sent J to the hardware store to get some double sided tape and fixed the microwave button that was falling off. JG&I cleaned the garage and got the trash ready to take out. J headed out shopping with one of his friends. G&I hung out in the garage and tested his cotton candy maker. I then attempted to install the undercounter TV L got for Christmas and it had a line through screen so we will have to exchange it. LG&I suited up to brave the cold and swung by the post office before stopping for a quick bite to eat at Arby's and then on to see 'The Greatest Show' move, it was awesome! Home and L downloaded the movie soundtrack and we were dancing around making G choke on his snack with our awesome moves. D&J in the basement playing on the Xbox. Little boys to bed and L&I tried to get D moving on his future.

20171225 + Christmas Day

20171225 + G up several times throughout the night for this pain or that... Finally up for good about 7am. Got myself around and a cup of coffee and we settled in the living room to open gifts. The boys did really good this enjoying watching others open their things more than opening. We took our time and had a very nice morning and everyone seemed very happy with their gifts, L got a beautiful necklace, D got a nice bat, J got a fancy scooter and G got his Google Home and other little stuff. We got the paper and ourselves cleaned up while Lilly pranced around the backyard with her giant bone looking for a hiding spot. L got in the kitchen and started cooking and soon family started showing up. Gma&paW, Gma&paB and the Coles. We had a nice spread of food and a nice lunch. We headed down to the basement after the meal to exchange gifts. and then everyone played with their stuff for a bit before folks had to head home. We stayed up late playing with our new things and getting our Google Home set up.

20171224 - Christmas Ready

20171224 - Up in the am and hanging out doing some small things around the office. To the Cole's for a nice late lunch. The normal crowd wasn't there this year so it wasn't crowded and there was plenty to eat. We hung out and played Pictionary, it was a hoot! we all loaded up and headed to Nicole's church for a rock-n-roll Christmas service... As we left the church it started snowing which made L very happy. Home and hung out, ate a bit and then D & DGF7 over and we all played the charades version of headbands. G was extremely animated  and D couldn't do it without speaking. It was a lot of fun and we had to stop to try and get the boys off to bed in good time.

20171223 + Perspective

20171223 + Up in the am and G&I out on the town. We dropped packages off at the post office and then swung by a jewelry store where we found something for L and then the hobby store for a last minute gift for J. On to Staples to get some printer paper and Steak-n Shake for a late lunch. We then swung by Dave's warehouse to get stocked back up on some items. Home and relisted things while D&DGF7 wrapped the remainder of his presents and then helped LJ&G decorate cookies.

20171222 - Dork Elf

20171222 - Up in the am and in to work. I had a couple of calls in the am and got some emails cleaned up. Then I headed out to the floor to thank everyone and pass out candy canes. Stopped at the gas station on the way home. Home and L had taken the boys out shopping this morning and made some candy. D worked and is out running errands, J is making something in the garage and G in the basement playing on the Xbox. I got a couple things shipped and caught up in the office and headed out to relax in the living room with L. D disappeared and LJG&I headed out to Texas Roadhouse to get a good meal. G got a 16 ounce steak and J&I each got 23 ounce T-Bones. It was REALLY GOOD and we got REALLY FULL. Home and we settled in to watch a classic movie: Army of Darkness. The boys at first didn't pay much attention to it but as it went on they loved it.

20171221 + Work Snacks

20171221 + Up in the am and in to work with everyone at home on Christmas break today. L got things done around the house and ran Sammy's bday present to him. D ran some errands throughout the day for me and wrapped his presents with DGF7 before heading to work. J was gone most of the day scooter riding and playing airsoft with his friends. G went to see Star Wars again and then hang out with his buddy Brady all day before heading to DBats for hitting league tonight. I went in this morning and then ran to lunch with Justin and then downtown tot eh Sheriff's office to renew my CCW license. Home and finished working the reset of the day. J rode home in the dark and LJ&I had dinner and hung out.

20121220 - Cow Sleigh

20121220 - Up in the am and in to work. Today L was home and it is the last day of school for the boys so they were excited. Had a fast productive day and headed home. I stopped at 2 auction houses on the way home. Home and watched The Dark Tower with LJ&G. Headed off to bed where I built a simple order entry tool for work and watch the rest of the Magicians season 2.

20171219 - Mechanjc

20171219 - Up in the am and G home from school with a fever so I stayed with him while L went to school with Gma&paB for day 2 of Santa & Mrs. Claus. D home after exams and then off to work. I got through most of the morning before escalations called me into the office. D back home just in time as the white car wouldn't start so he ran me to L's school to get my car and in to work. Got the important stuff done and headed home a bit late. Home and J&I got the car started and took it to get the battery changed. Home and ate. D home shortly and we headed out to do his Christmas shopping. It was a good trip and we got most of it done except one thing he needs to run out and get J. Home and everything unloaded. D ate and off to bed.

20171218 - Claus Fam

20171218 - Up in the am and headed to work. L and Gma&paB headed in to her school for the Santa day with the kids. It is very quiet in the office this morning & I got a lot done and tied things up for the day and headed out. First stop was an auction house, then another. A quick stop to get a haircut and then watch shop to drop off some watches to find out what batteries they need before heading to the Booster meeting. Straight from the booster meeting to the Scout meeting to get advancements and J. J&I got gas and then stopped at Burger King to get me some dinner. Home and G down with a fever, I ate, Bible Bangers cancelled and we chatted with Gma&paB for the evening.

20171217 - Hoops & Star Wars

20171217 - Up in the am and all of us to Granville for G's basketball tournament. G's team won the first game and fought hard against New Albany in the second and almost won, but our basketball for the day was over. We headed home and settled for a bit. L cleaning like crazy, D&DGF7 ran out and got a Christmas tree for the basement and decorated it, J was out of sorts as he wanted to run with his friends all day again but we kept him home, G exhausted and chilled on the couch, I got some paperwork done and got in a short nap before Gma&paB arrived. In the evening GpaB DJG&I headed to see the new Star Wars movie, it was really good! Home and had some dinner and shut the weekend down getting ready for a busy fast week ahead.

20171216 + I love elves!

20171216 + Up in the am and LG&I headed to Granville for a basketball tournament, D&J hanging around the house today. G played 3 games, W2, L2, some pretty intense basketball... We finished up about 2pm and headed home swinging through Arby's to grab some lunner. Home and ate, checked in with D&J and then out for another basketball game where we got beat at home. Home and changed and LG&I headed to the McClain's for a fun ugly Christmas sweater party. It was a lot of fun. Home not too late in prep for more basket tomorrow morning.

20171215 - Taste Tester

20171215 - Up in the am and working from home. In the office all day and even a bit late. Took the fam downtown to the Brick American Kitchen for dinner. A lot of complaining for the small menu and how fancy it was, but when the food came everyone was happy :-) Home and hung out and watched some TV getting ready for a busy basketball weekend.

20171214 - Easy Night

20171214 - Up and exhausted, in to work for a cloudy day. Home and L took G to his basketball practice and did some shopping, D Worked at D-Bats, J&I hanging around the house getting some things done and taking it easy. Early night for all tonight.

20171213 - Looking Up

20171213 - Up in the am and helped L jump the white car so she could get to work. I headed out and had low tire pressure warnings... 17 degrees does a number on mechanical device... I swung down through Canal Winchester to pick up some products on the way in to work. In to work and focused on monthly metrics and actions today. Hit an auction house and Dave's on the way home. Home and got stuff shipped and relisted. Up late doing stuff.

20171212 - Wrapper Jack

20171212 - Up in the am and it was snowing like crazy. Headed in to work and Justin and I are working on the inventory project. Home in the snowy dark to have dinner with LJ&G. J told us of his caroling adventure in the 25 degree afternoon. I crashed on the couch for a min before heading out to a Scout Board of Review. D was working at D-Bats. All home and D shipped a bunch of stuff. I helped him finish up and tried to figure out why I cannot connect to my home PC externally for a couple hours. To bed and up late working on monthly Dock2Stock metrics.

20171211 + Green Aura

20171211 + Up in the am and in to work. In to Justin's office first thing to start knocking things out. In to the conference room for calls and there pretty much the rest of the day. Finished up a bit late and headed home. J was the only one home, L was delivering G to his basketball practice and D had worked and went to baseball. D showed up, changed and went to DGF7's, L home and chatted for a min before I ran J to Scouts and then to get G. Home for a min, D home and started shipping and I headed to Bible Bangers with no Doc tonight. Home and helped D finish shipping and then relisted some stuff. To bed and up late Christmas shopping.

20171210 - Slay the Prey

20171210 - Up late and got ready. L ran G to baseball practice. J&I out Christmas shopping. J is such a thoughtful and thrifty shopper. We got all of his stuff done and swung by Panda Express for a late lunch. Home and Gma&paW down for G's game. LG&I headed to the game and I kept the book. G played very well today in another high paced game. Home and D&DGF7 were there shipping ebay items. Gma&PaW brought home some dinner and we had a nice meal and some catching up. In the evening the guys came over for the mid-season finale of The Walking Dead. I made a late night run to Dave's to get more stuff. Home and shipped stuff, up late looking at things online.

20171209 - J&J Driveway

2017129 - Up late and got a ton of things done at the desk. L ran and got groceries and then G&I headed out for his Christmas shopping. We went to a couple different stores and he got some stuff. He didn't seem too satisfied and still has a couple of things he needs to get done. Home and got L&J and we headed to G's game. The McClains came to watch and G has a good game, they won. After the game we all went to Bellacino's for dinner and then back to our house for some Rummikub. The Varney's stopped over with some Christmas candy. Every took off and we got ready for bed. I helped J write up his flyer.  I like that we get a bit of snow today and Jack start thinking of profit$!!! Up until 4am waiting for D to get back from Oglebay with DGF7 and her family...

20171208 ‡+ No 2 Jordan's

20171208 ‡+ Up in the am and working from home today. Got a ton of stuff done and more relaxed. After work LJG&I headed out and ran to Dave's to pick things up and then got food from Jordan's Deli. We headed home and to the basement to watch "Moonrise Kingdom" and have our meal. The movie was cute and we won't have to go back to Jordan's.

20171207 - Up in the am and in to work. Had the weekly call and then our on the floor helping Tim from Kroger move stuff around. Home and swung by D-Bats to get G and headed home. We felt like someone was watching us.

20171206 + Christmas Ready

20171206 + Up in the am and in to work. Walked around and tried to learn about our bin location system this morning and had a couple of calls. Worked with Justin in his office most of the day. Headed home and swung by Dave's to drop some things off and pick others up. Home and ate then hung out and chatted with L. D home and we got on a call with a college baseball recruiter.

20171205 - Low Tech Fun

20171205 - Up in the morning and in to work a bit earlier than usual. Sat with Justin most of the day getting inventory cleaned up. Headed out a couple min early to stop at 2 auction houses on the way home. L called about a suspicious car sitting out front of our house this evening, I called the police and they came to the house to talked to L as the car had already left. Home and D was working at D-Bats, J was at a middle school basketball game and LG&I dug through the auction purchases and wrapped a couple things for the boys. All home and settled in. Up late on the PC.

20171204 - Workers

20171204 - Up in the am and in L was not looking forward to working with a sub this morning. I got J off to school and headed in to work. At work getting things done and the network died... Ended up getting a lot done with Justin. Headed out and to an auction house and then to drop off some iPhone cases to get printed off. Swung by Dave's warehouse and then over to pick G up from basketball practice. Home for 30 seconds, realized I left my portfolio at Dave's so raced back over to his warehouse, got the portfolio and and raced over to Scouts to deliver awards, check on advancements, pay dues and sell baseball cards. Got J from Scouts and headed home. D was there and we shipped the ebay sales for the day and got something to eat. The guys were all over the place tonight and cancelled Bible Bangers. Hung out on the couch until late doing odds and ends on the PC.

20171203 - Christmas Pose

20171203 - Up and LJG&I headed to church, D headed to work. Home and G&I headed to D-Bats for his practice. Tom and I met with Coach Shade to get some insights on running more efficient practices. After practice we headed home and Tom, Bill and their boys joined us so we could do some work on the team, setting up GameChanger and TeamSnap and looking for tournaments for 2018. D got home and listed all of the stuff we got yesterday. The fellas left and L attempted to get a pic for the Christmas card... I dug in and helped clean up all the ebay posts D did today. D up in his room working on 'College stuff', J&G took a ride to Wendy's. Everyone home and hanging out until the guys showed up for The Walking Dead. Everyone to bed and I stayed up finishing up ebay, did a couple of shipments and looked for other stuff for sell. 

20171202 - Wholesalers

20171202 - Up in the am and L out shopping with Nicole. J&G playing xbox and taking care of themselves while D&I did some ebay sales analysis over the last couple years and then headed to Dave's warehouse to buy some stuff. We made a huge pile of stuff and then negotiated with Dave to get it. They made a deal and D&I loaded it up and headed home. Home and DGF7 over to help us sort and count everything. I got it put into ta spreadsheet and ready to be listed tomorrow. We settled in to watch the OSU Wisconsin game. It was a great game and J&I designed iPhone covers while we watched. Everyone to bed very late after a winning the BIG10 Championship!

20171201 - Yellow Gym

20171201 - Up in the am and in to the office for a normal day. Headed out a couple min early to avoid traffic. D working, LJG&I headed to G's game in downtown CMH and we had to play in a yellow gym. J sat at the scorers table with me and helped. The boys won, W - Gahanna Lions (35) vs Liberty Thunder (17). Home and with it being dark didn't realize how early it was. Hung out around the house the rest of the night.

20171130 - Strange Smile

20171130 - Worked from home today. Took a break and delivered a wreath on the other side of town at lunch. D worked at D-Bats and G&I to D-Bats for hitting in the evening then ran halfway across town and dropped G off at basketball practice. Ran to get a scout award at the church for a boy finishing up his eagle. Home for a couple min and then back out to get G... We dropped off a couple of the baseball cards D sold and picked up some Arbys for a 10PM dinner.

20171128 - Up in the am, did something all day and grant listened to music.

20171127 + Final Touches

20171127 + Up in the am and ready for work. Hung back a bit waiting on J's bloody nose to stop and then took him to school. On in to work for a busy Monday. Home and G helped put the final touches on the tree.

20171126 - Decoration Day

20171126 - Up in the am and LDJ&I headed to church. I couldn't follow the sermon... Home and work day around the house. LD&J headed outside. I got things organized in the office and ran to Dave's warehouse to pick up some stuff for orders. Hoe and got things shipped then headed to the bedroom to take apart the dresser and fix it. Headed out to the garage and D & DGF7 putting up lights for L, J bailed out to go scootering after racking all the leaves and using the compressor to blow off the driveway. I rebuilt the tent with the reinforcing plates. Light up and pine roping and D pulled down some of the ivy growing crazy, it made him breakout. D & DGF7 helped me put the tent back together and then I fabricated new rail for L's dresser. L put the tree and Gma&paW showed up with G and loads of stuff. L made us some dinner and had to run and get J from church with an out of control bloody nose and a story of digging paper towels out of the toilet with his bare hands... After dinner L did some laundry and G&I hit the couch to watch Ant Man for a bit before the guys showed up to watch The Walking Dead.

20171125 - Beat the TUN

20171125 - Up in the am and messing around a bit until L sent me to the store to get some groceries to make stuff to take to the Pettit's OSU Michigan party. There were a lot of people at the store and it took forever... Home and D&DGF7 went out for lunch and shopping at Easton. LJ&I drove across the road to get Doc and we headed to the party. It was the usual crowd and there was quite a stressful game going on. L won $50 in some squares and the Buckeyes ended up pulling off a win beating Michigan! We headed home after the game and I crashed for a nap while L&J worked on school stuff. Up and watched some more football until bedtime.

20171124 + Black Friday

20171124 + Up in the am and L&I left DJ&G with Gma&paW to go shopping. DJ&G had all kinds of chores to do and then hit a movie and some stores. L&I went to many of the usual stores and got a little bit of our Christmas shopping started. We had a nice lunch and did a bit more shopping before heading back to the Farm. We got everything packed up, the boys and Gma&paW got home and showed us all the things they got, many of them on the Christmas lists we just went shopping for... LDJ&I headed home and G stayed for a couple more days.  We got home and swung through Moe's to get some food. Home, unpacked and ate. D ran to see DGF7 and J played the xBox. D got home and played the xBox with J a bit before we all headed to bed.

20171123 - Farm Thanksgiving

20171123 - Up in the am and DJG&I headed down to the Farmhouse to meet up with the hunters. All suited up in our orange and off to the hunt. The uncles and dog are getting a bit slow and G was our main pheasant kiker-up-er. We saw about half of the pheasants we set out and most of them laughed at us as we all shot at them and watched them fly away. At the end of the hunt Greg got 2, and D&I each got 1. We headed to the Springhouse and cleaned up the birds and headed up to the house to get cleaned up. All cleaned up and we headed down to the Farmhouse to meet with the family and share stories and memories. Hard not having Martha there this year. The food was good and there was plenty of it. We stayed lat and put together puzzles and had a good time. Back up to the house to slow down, unwind and look at ads. So thankful to have this family and for my boys to be a part of it.

20171122 - Bird Placing

20171122 - Up in the am and at the desk knocking things out so we could get on the road. L got everyone packed up and the boys helped me get the rack on the back of the car. We got on the road about noon and I took a call that lasted almost the entire drive. We got to the Farm, unpacked and I hit the PC again working until Roger showed up with 20 pheasants. We got dressed up and headed out to seed the fields. Roger, GmaW, DJG&I walked down through the fields and put the pheasants out in various places. It wasn't miserable cold and was easier than previous years the boys are getting good at it. After we got the all set out we headed in. I did a bit more on the PC and then we headed to Jake's in Ashland for a nice dinner. Back to the Farm and we wound down the night and got to bed in good time.

20171121 - Pencil Scetch

20171121 - Up in the am and J home from school sick today. I stopped at Kroger on the way to work to get food for the dinner we are having today. In and getting things done. Took a break for lunch and made a plate from the spread and had a good meal. I got a lot done and ready for the busy holiday. Home and G&I ran around delivering wreaths for J who still isn't feeling well. L has things ready for tomorrow, I stayed up late getting my things lined up.

20171120 - iPhone X

20171120 - Up in the am an J not feeling well. We drugged him up and I dropped him off at school, filling out the paperwork and leaving some pills behind so he can make it through the day. Only reason he is going is the choir practice at the high school this morning and then again later this evening. Made it in to work and got the week rolling. Had a productive day and then headed home. L&G to his basketball practice, D was working and then ran to Scouts for me. J sleeping as he came home in the middle of the school day sick. I headed out to a Booster meeting. Home and D&I took the tent apart so L could get her car in. I headed to Bible Bangers with Doc. It was a good short meeting. Home and set up my new phone :-)

20171119 - 4 Games

20171119 - Up in the am and LG&I headed to G's basketball preview in Worthington. It was a crazy madhouse double gym full of kids bouncing basketballs everywhere. I did my best to keep score for the 4 scrimmages, must faster than baseball... Home in the early afternoon. D&J just beat us home. D&I worked on the tent leg that snapped and J was out scootering around Creekside getting free stuff from the vendors down there for the Holiday of Lights festival. When J got home he and I went to pick up the wreaths he had sold for Scouts, D&G headed to D-Bats. Home and we sorted them, delivering to the neighbors and dividing into the various cars for later delivery. L heated up the pork we got from the Scout Thanksgiving and we had a yummy dinner. After dinner LJ&G hung out on the couch watching TV, D worked on college stuff and I got some things done in the office. Before long my buddies came over to watch The Walking Dead with DJ&I. Up late getting things done and ready for the crazy short week ahead.

20171118 + Scout Thanksgiving

20171118 + Up way too early in the am and was surprisingly warm. G&I out of the tent for bfast that D orchestrated the cooking of the bisquits. It was a good bfast and I packed up and headed home in an onion scented car... Home and got a warm shower, coffee and rested. L was busy getting things done around the house and I headed out to pick up a couple things for the Scouts. Made it back to the campsite and had some chili watching G split more wood. I drug G away from the axe and got him home. He got cleaned up and we both fell asleep for an afternoon nap. This tells me I am not able to easily adapt to sleeping outside in a tent as I used to be... Before we knew it we packed up and headed to the campsite for the Troop 98 25th annual Court of Honor Thanksgiving Feast. We had an awesome meal, best we've had in the many years. The meeting was good and the boys all got recognized for their accomplishments for the last year. D&I had to run out during the meeting to take our tent down, the high winds snapped on of the inner supports :-o After the dinner LG&I left D&J there for the night as we headed home to warm up and watch some football.

20171117 - 1st All 4 Campout

20171117 - Up in the am and in to work. Morning went fast, trying to clean out open action so next week goes smooth. Home as the boys were finishing their packing for the campout, G was a bit anxious. I double checked their packs and the boys headed out. I finished getting ready and then headed to McD's to pick up some food. I got the camp out just as the Troop did and helped D set up the tent. D&I got our cots set up and then checked in on J and helped the adults get some things done. G had a blast splitting wood. After everything was done we all sat around the fire for a bit and listened to stories. This is the first time ever all the Winger boys together at a Scout campout! G&I headed out so they could tell some grownup stories. We got situated in our sleeping bags and fell asleep quickly. I only woke up about 4 times, to the hard pouring rain, I love that sound.

20171116 - Lots o Cake$

20171116 - Up in the am and in to work. Had a super busy mornings getting ready for and having calls, that ended up lasting all day. Headed to meet D&G at D-Bats. D was working for them helping with the kids, he was giving private lessons to them and looked like he loved it. Hope this turns into a job for him. G was there for his hitting league and did pretty good. G&I headed out after he was done, D stayed to work. G&I ran home, got his cake and J and we headed to the cake auction. It was a good auction and G's cake went for $240! the highest of the night. It was a good time. After the auction we headed home past Arby's for dinner. Home and D scared G, which caused him to drop our dinner on the driveway and get our food covered with pine needles...
