20250917 - Up and feeling almost normal and to the desk.

20250916 - Up in the am and feeling better, to the desk work on a lot of things to catch up for yesterdays miss. Took a break and took a walk with L and Hazel. Back to the desk, out for dinner around 6. Threw the ball to Hazel and bit and watched some shows with L and then called and checked on J. They made it and like their Airbnb they chose as their home base. They are getting settled in the town they are in and coming up with a game plan for their trips. To bed and watched a little TV.

20250915 - Up at 3:55pm! Slept almost the entire day. Got myself around and did a couple small things, took a short walk with L and Hazel. Relaxed and watched some TV. Back to bed early.

20250914 - Up and not feeling great. Medicated myself and ran to the grocery to get some ribs for J's sendoff party. Home and got 4 racks of ribs prepped and in the smoker. Did some little jobs in the garage, touched up some spots on the floor where the coating was pealing up and worked on the Schlitz ball a bit. Watched football on the porch and kept an eye on the ribs. L making all sorts of sides and desserts. Pulled the ribs and got them on the grill to glaze them and finish them off and put in a big aluminum pan and to the oven to hold them for J's friends. J and JGF7 showed up and then J left her to pick up Justin and Charlie that he is going to Japan with. J's other friends showed up, about 10 of them. When J got back we got the food out and they kids had a feast. Nice group of friends he has. L and JGF7 got a little weepy together... Everyone left and J started packing for the trip... Up at 4:45am and I ran the boys to the airport and off they went. Feeling like I have been run over by a bus by now...

20250913 - Up in the am and doing thins around the house. L&I got ready and headed downtown and got a pretty descent parking place and walked to the Horseshoe. We got there too late for the skull session so just waited outside the rotunda for the team to walk in. We found a couple friends walking around and they stood with us, we have never been this close before and the players came by and hit our hands as they walked in, they are HUGE men! we then made our way to our seats, which were not together, one row apart and 4 seats off. We waited for everyone to show up and asked if people didn't mind scooting down and they did so at lease I was right behind L. We watched the band come in and all the procession of the pre-game and then settled in a for a nice win! We stayed long after the game was over and both OU and the OSU bands performed and it was really good. We thought the extra time would make getting out of the parking garage easier, but we sat in the car for almost and hour before we got out of the garage. Home safe after a lovely day.

20250912 - Up in the am and to the desk. J home, didn't work again today, says his head hurts. We managed to get him and all his cash to the bank and deposited. We also applied for a credit card for him, although he won't have it before he leaves, if he is approved he'd have a digital one on his phone. Home and finished my work day and L&I went out to eat with the Mallonns at Firebird a new steak place on N Hamilton. It was really good. L&I stopped at Target and Home depot on the way home to pick up some things. Home and hung out the rest of the evening.

20250911 - 24th anniversary of 9/11 attack. Up in the am and to the Worthington office. Had a full day there. Home and L made us a nice dinner, J here and ate with us. Riley from next door called me over and we tried to get his mower running again with no luck. I grabbed BobB from his walk and he told us what parts we need to get next. Home and L&I watched some TV before bed.

20250910 - Up in the am and headed to Dr. Gemma for an ablation follow up, all good and get to drop 2 medications! Home and to the desk getting things done. L home for lunch, Lonie stopped by on his way home from the office to look at the TV I was working on last night to see if he had any ideas for a work around. Hazel and I took a walk. Back to the desk to finish the day. Mid afternoon I received an alert that Charlie Kirk was shot. Stunned at the news I went looking for information. The first thing that came up was a video from a distance that showed the event. I searched more and found a close up video of the exact moment he was shot and I wished now that I hadn't. Absolutely horrific to see this. My immediate thought was there is no way he could survive that. I got news channels on and listened to reports come in and eventually President Trump announced that he had died. What a horrible thing to happen to this man, his family and our country. Things are so completely out of control... L home, we watched the news, then got ourselves together and went to bingo. We had a small crowd, only L&I, Tom & Chaff. It was a good time, L and Chaff got in to a political discussion... L walked home and I stayed to sing a bit.

20250909 - Up in the am and to the desk, L came home for lunch and then Hazel and I took a walk. Finished the day, J and JGF7 here, they walked to Creekside for dinner. L cooked pasta and we ate on the patio then watched the new. I then tried to get a big TV working that J brought home but no luck... Headed to bed and watched some TV.

20250908 - Up in the am and to the Worthington office getting things done. Cory and I went to Old bag for lunch. Back to the desk for the afternoon and got a bunch done. Home and Hazel and L were waiting out front for me. Tom stopped over and showed off his new car, Mercedes 2013 E350 Coupe, just like J's but all black, VERY SHARP! We had a couple beers on the back porch then I headed to Bible Bangers for a nice visit with ScottH and Chris. Home and L&I watched a murder documentary and headed to bed.

20250907 + Up late and doing some things around the house. Got G's car cleaned out and some minor fixes done and then L, hazel and I took it to the carwash so it is nice and pretty for him when he comes home. Cleaned up the garage a bit and took down the spinning beer sign to make repairs, got some paint chips from the garage floor to see about getting some matching paint for touchups. Watched football on the back porch and had the rest of the brisket for dinner. Watched a couple movie, up late.

20250906 + Up in the am and got the brisket flat in the smoker and made a list of stuff to do for the weekend. Headed to the grocery store and got some goodies for the game. Home and watched the OSU game and got a couple little things done in around the house. Chaff came over to watch some of the game and then Terrill, D, DGF13 and Hank, J and JGF7 and Chris Bowman came over to watch Xichgan get beat! The brisket was done and I had the smart idea to put it on the grill for a minute to char the fat cap... well all the juices spilled out and cause a fire and charred the whole outside of the thing... It was still good and folks ate it up. up late watching football.

20250905 - Up in the am and to the desk. Got a bunch done and then L&I ran to pick up Bill and tiff and we headed to Natalie's on Grandview for the Pop Gun concert. We had dinner first and it was really good. Then we moved to the concert hall, it was a small venue and this band is really good. We had a great time. Home and watched some TV.

20250092 - L had her first day of school today and came home at lunch, one of the straps on her sandal snapped and she had to swap shows before her afternoon class. She was blah blah blah about the kids and things they were doing and how it was going, beaming, she loves working with theses little kids. I was getting caught up on things at the desk. At 4:30 Hazel and I ran to pick up 2024 tax docs and I got to talk to Beth's daughter for a min. Beth died of natural causes, lonely broken heart :-( 10 mo after her husband died. Home and L home from her CPR certification and we all hung out on the back porch on this beautiful day. We had leftovers for dinner and then went in to watch the finale of Bachelor in Paradise. Headed to bed and J home and JGF7 was with him...

20250901 - Up in the am and D & DGF13 over and opened his gifts from GmaW from yesterday. They then joined LG&I and we went to Johnstown for Swapper's Day. I got some praline pecans and followed folks around as they looked for treasures. Ran in to a couple folks we knew and enjoyed the sights. We finished the visit off with some fair food and then headed home, stopping to get me some fresh peaches from a roadside stand. Home and I headed to the porch to read, where I eventually ended up napping. L cut G's hair and then his buddies stopped to pick him up and take him back to school. Up and around and L&I ran to pick up some auction stuff and drop a shipment in the mail. Home and the neighbors stopped over with their kidos for a nice visit. I then ran out and picked up some Powerball tickets the jackpot is $1.1B. Home and watched some college football for a bit and then finished the 'Titan's' series. What a pleasant long weekend.

20250831 + Up let Forrest out and trying to figure out what to do for the day. Called Gma&paW and they are going to come down for a cookout. I got some things done at the desk and then L&I ran to the grocery to get supplies for the the cook out. Home and things put away and L started food prep and I worked in the shop organizing couple drawers of stuff looking for brackets to fix a hanging table of J's. I got it fixed and then warmed up the grill. Tommy came over, then Gma&paW arrived. We finalized the cooking and dinner was served. GpaW did great eating, more than I've seen him eat in a long time and he was getting around pretty good. Then Doc got home and we shuffled him across the road and got him a plate of food and he ate it all up, eating like a champ. We all sat and had a nice visit on the porch. L&I helped Doc get home, Gma&paW took off and Tom stayed and we watched some football for a bit. What a nice day!

20250830 - Up in the am and let Forrest out and then G got ahold of L, he wanted to come home. L cancelled her plans with friends and drove over to Plain City to pick him up. I got the garage all cleaned out and his car started to make sure everything was ok. L&G picked up Cane's on the way home and we all sat on the back porch and watched the Buckeyes beat Texas! What a game! I walked over to Nate's after the game and hung out with him and some of his friends for a bit. D, DGF13 and Hank stopped over so I went back home and we sent G to pick up hibachi for dinner. We hung out the porch and watched football for all evening.

20250829 + Up in the am and to the desk getting things done. Took Hazel on a walk. L&I ran to Reynoldsburg to pick up auction wins and then went to Slabs, a new restaurant to try it out. It was pretty good, but pretty pricey. We then hit Giant Eagle to pic up a prescription, a couple groceries and lotto tickets. Home and got things unpacked and watched some TV. I then attempted to install a new ceiling fan in the room over the garage, now J's room and ran in to some problems... It was going to hang down to far and hit J&I in the head... so I tried to modify the new fan to make it shorter. That didn't work.. so I took down the old fane and figured out a way to use the old base with the new motor and ended up frankensteining the two together and it WORKED! It looks and works amazing! to bed at 4:30am!

L has her first day of parent orientation today and J stayed home from work, hurt his foot playing volleyball last night, G has his first day of classes at UC. Busy morning and just Cory and I went to Old Bag for lunch. Back to the desk, CB stopped in and we chatted about everything and got caught up. Home and hung out on the back porch. K tried to get groceries a couple times without much luck. We had dinner and then she finally got her groceries and I tried the help her log on to the new took her school wants to use. Headed to Bible Bangers and hung out with Chris and Shalyn. Home and watched some tv, got G a graphing calculator and headed to bed.

20250823 + Up in the am and we were going to go on Gary and Marlene's boat today, but something came up so it ended up only the girls going to lunch. Hazel and I got around and went out for a drive and got my car washed and picked up some food at Wendy's. L home and we headed to to Value City Arena to see Nate Bargatze: Big Dumb Eyes World Tour. We got there in good time and found L's cousins in the crowd, way on the other side of the place. The comedy show lasted a couple hours and it was really good, we had never been to anything like that before in such a big setting. After the show we met up with L's cousins for a late night snack and chatted until late. Home and straight to bed.

When she got home we walked down to Creekside and got a table close to the Rotary stage and ordered some dinner and let some friends know where we were. Soon Tom, then Bill and Tiff joined us and we hung out for the 'Popp Gun' concert and had the best seats in the house. We ran in to all kinds of folks we knew and it was a great time. After the concert we headed to Signatures and Holly and another girl helped get a makeshift karaoke situation set up and we sang and sang. What a fun night!

L asked G where he wanted to go to eat for his last supper and he requested steak and mashed potatoes and gravy at home, so she ran to the store and got groceries for dinner. I got up late and helped the neighbor with his mower, but we didn't accomplish much... On the back porch getting organized for a busy week. L home, I got cleaned up and we headed out. 1st stop was Goodwill, post office, the office in Worthington to get a dolly for G's move Tues, VillaNova Ristorante for dinner. 20250816 - Up late and D, DGF13 and Hank came over to change the back breaks on his car and play in the yard and pools. We got the breaks changed and L ran to the store and made us some lunch. We hung out for a bit and then the kids left. Tommy stopped by and we went and looked at cars, he needs a new one since his was totaled by a drunk driver a couple weeks back. I showed him the Mercedes that were on my buddy's lot but he wasn't there so we couldn't test drive any. I did call him and he has a car just like J's coming in on Wed so we went home and I had Tom drive J's car. He REALLY liked it, so smooth, so FAST. So we are going back up on Wed pm to see it. Home and Tom stayed for a bit and chatted. We looked up tickets for the Steeler's game on 10/12 and got tickets so Tome Bill, Terrill and I could all go to the game against the Brows. L&I watched a movie and some TV before heading to bed.

20250812 - Up and ready, L in to school to work on her room, Hazel and I walked to the corner and back, at the desk getting things done. Back to the desk, G asked if he could borrow my car to go pick up food he ordered... What? We had a little talk about all the food we had in the house from J's party a couple days ago, and how G needed to get his car running, and how he wasn't working or listing things on ebay for me, so how is he buying food that he needs to pick up? Didn't go well for G... We got his car running and charging the battery charged up, seems to be fine now, not sure what happened. Hazel and I took a midday walk. Had a call start at 2 that that lasted till 4... got all the new trust, wills, etc. scanned in during the call. Day over, out and L&I had leftovers and watched the news. We then ran to a teaching store up at Polaris for L to pick up some stuff for her room. Home and GGF6 standing at the front door, G was not answering the door, his phone or texts... boy needs to get his shit together... In and G & GGF6 headed out. L&I watched some comedian on Netflix before heading to bed.

20250811 - Up and still pretty tender so working from home today. L headed in to her classroom to start getting things ready and Hazel and I hung out on the back porch with the computer. Went in for a work call and then had an IT escalation to to deal with. G awoke and tried to get in to his car for a very short period of time before giving up the 'IMPOSSIBLE!' task... Demonstrating some perseverance I got the car unlocked and the battery charger on it. L home from cleaning and prepping her room all day, she brought home a bunch of dress up clothes she has in her room to was and Hazel was suddenly a victim... J had some friends over, I headed to Bible Bangers. Home and watched some TV with L.

20250810 - Up LATE and got the pork shoulders seasoned and in the smoker. Hung out on the back porch catching up on things and doing some reading. L&I gave GpaW a call for his 77th Bday and he sounded better today and planned on going out for ice cream tonight! I got the pork out of the smoker and helped J get the salmon in. Hung out on the porch till meat was done and needed to pull it as J's friends started showing up. he had about 15 friends over and they played games in the back yard, ate and had a good time. Bunch of nice kids. L&I heled get things cleaned up and headed to bed.

20250809 - L up early and to the Farm for Liz's wedding shower. I got up LATE and to the desk. Got the bills paid and then J&I headed to Giant Eagle to get stuff for tomorrow, he's having a party. 20250808 - Up LATE and to the desk to do a couple things before L&I headed to Ashland to get our trust updated. That went quick and felt good to get done. We swung by the Farm to see if we could help GmaW with some things for the shower tomorrow and she had a couple little jobs for us. We got those done and things look good and ready. We went up to the house for a bit to GpaW and he was just sitting in the family room head down, not watching TV, not doing anything, looked a lot like Doc hunched over in the nursing home... GpaW talked a bit, but not interested in much. We headed out and stopped at the Black Dog Tavern on the way home for dinner. Home and relaxing the rest of the evening.
20250807 - Heart Ablation
20250807 - Up early and L took me to Mt. Carmel East and we got checked in. Got ready and wheeled in the a super futuristic OR that looked like something out of StarTrek. Got put under At 10:50 and woke up at 1. While I was out I got a heart ablation… This is a pic of heart, left is before, right is after. The purple is electrical current, it was all over the place, that’s what caused me to go into AFIB. So they isolated the electric signals so should be all good now.
Got sent home about 4:30 with just 2 little bandaids on… Had some dinner, a little sore but ok. Couldn’t sleep as I was asleep most of the day.

20250806 - Up and to the desk getting things done. L, Hazel and I took a big walk. Finished my day and Steph stopped by and we all walked to Signatures for Bingo. We had 17 folks join us and it was a good time. Still no karaoke :-( Chaff took me home as we stayed late to chat with folks.
20250804 - Cleaning Up
20250804 - Up in the am and ran to the computer store on the way in to the office to get the last o the laptops for our refresh project. Once these get deployed we will wrap up 3 year long projects! Today is the first time CB, Cory and I have been in the office together for 3 weeks. We went to Old Bag for an early lunch. Back to the office and I cleaned the bathrooms which led to cleaning out the cleaning closet. Had a call and Erin and one of her daughters stopped by the office. Finished the day and headed home. Home and threw the ball to Hazel and L made some yummy bang bang shrimp tacos for dinner. We watched the news and then I headed to Bible Bangers, good to catch up with everyone. Home and watching Bachelor with L before bed.

20250803 - Up late, caught up on the blog a bit. To the desk and got a couple things done. J&I put a pork loin in the smoker and then ran his car to the tire place so he can get new back tires tomorrow. Home and got some email cleared out and then L&I ran to the farmers market to get some corn and fruit with a stop and Lowe's to see if the perennials were on sale yet, nothing. Home and Hazel and I got our nails trimmed hanging out on the patio. Meat was almost done smoking so Hazel and I ran upstairs to let J&G know and on the way down the steps I went in to AFIB... Took a couple of readings and then proceeded to pull the meat, slice it and finish it on the grill. D and DGF13 and Hanky Boy joined us for dinner and we had a nice family meal on the patio. L&I got things cleaned up and watched the news and AFV. I then got a shower and AFIB was gone when I got out... L&I watched 'Red Eye', an old thriller movie that was pretty good before heading to bed.

20250802 - Up and to the desk, paid bills and then L&I headed down to Creekside to the Vets, Rods, and Classics car show. There were a lot of nice cars there. L likes the big old ones and I like new fast ones. We headed home and hung out on the back porch and Derek S and friend stopped by for a beer and chat after they finished at the car show. I then planted a couple bulbs and then took Hazel on a big walk to Creekside and all the cars were gone. Home and L and I went to see the new Superman movie and it was really good!

20250801 - Up in the am and to the desk. Had a slow day at work and got a couple of important things done. L&I headed to Nazareth for dinner and G and GGF6 came along. After dinner L&I stopped to Doc on the way home. He's pretty small and skinny but in good spirits and enjoyed the greek honey cake we took him and Mis Crews. We chatted for about an hour and then headed home and watched ‘Miller’s Girl’, which was supposed to be a thriller, but was a total stinker waste of time.

20250731 - Up in the am and headed to the Worthington office. I stopped to get gas and a banana to use as a weapon later. In to the office and got the day rolling, we had hibachi for lunch and then I got my mask on and my banana and robbed everyone in the building. I then went around and had the victims fill out witness forms and gave them feedback on their actions during the robbery and the details they provided on the forms. this was all part of testing our Robbery / Threatening Situations scenario of our Disaster Recover Plan. Back to the desk and finished the day. Home and L made dinner and then L Hazel and I took a big walk. GGF6 spent the night… L&I watched ‘Until Dawn’ a horror movie that wasn’t terrible before heading to bed.

20250730 - Up in the am and slow morning. G working at the moving company with his brothers today. GpaW got his gal bladder removed laparoscopically this morning! L&I picked up GmaW at Riverside and took her to lunch at the Old Bag. We ran into CB and Steve and his wife there. Back to the hospital and checked in on GpaW, doing much better today. Home and GGF6 here for the night. I finished the work day. To bingo at Signature’s. We had 9 folks join us tonight and had a good time.

20250729 - Up super early and L&I to see a cardiac electrophysiologist and schedule an ablation for 8/7... Home and got on the laptop and got the day rolling. Pretty tired so rested a bit and then jumped on afternoon tasks and calls. Hazel and I took a walk and then back to the desk to finish the day.

20250728 + Up in the am and checked out of the hotel and headed to a highly recommended breakfast spot only to find it closed... Found a little place called Mamma G's German Bakery and had an AMAZING breakfast! We then drove in to downtown Sarasota and mase some stops at the Unconditional Surrender status, a great white shark, the Elvis House, a couple houses shaped like a boat and one like a lighthouse and ended up at mini gold that had live alligators for 18 HOT holes. We had a good time and then headed to the airport where we met up with the McClains to wait around and then fly home. Home and D picked us up and got us home. L&I got unpacked and cleaned up from J's party he had here last night. Once we got things stabilized we headed to Riverside to see GpaW and take GmaW some dinner. We visited for a bit and it sounds like this hospital knows a bit more and has a good plan. Home and tired from vacation and a long day headed to bed.

20250727 - Up early and to the ballfields at IMG Academy. The first game was against a team from Taiwan and they were really good. Our boys held on and got the semi-final win. The best part was after the game the Taiwanese team had a ceremony where they bowed to the field, our players and parents and then presented gifts to our boys and got pictures taken. G got some cool stuff in the care package that he got. We had a break before the championship game and G wanted fried chicken, I thought wasn't a great idea and we went through Wendy's to get food and head back tot he hotel and relax int eh AC a bit. Time to go the field and the boys got a ride and the adults stayed back to stay cool and have a couple drinks before roasting. We all headed to the field and grabbed the bleachers and drug them back under the stadium so we could sit in shade. It was a really good game and G did great. At one point I got a ball and pen from the school and gave it to G's coach to have everyone sign it for him as this was going to be his last game... sad... the last out happened and our boys won their first championship of the season! Emotions were high as we got the trophy and boys realized this was the end of many years to baseball life... We got some pictures and the boys didn't really want to leave the field... We drove G through Zaxby's to get him fried chicken after the win and headed back to the hotel to eat. Then L&I headed to the beach to meet up with a couple families and get in the water again. One of the couples had a 10yr old girl that wanted to get in the water and all the other adults wanted to sit by the bar and drink so L&I took her way out the sand bar and she blah blah blah and dove through waves, it was a hoot. People got hungry and we all decided to head back to our rooms and get changed and meet up for dinner. The boys from the other families were asleep so they all folded and LG&I ended up headed out to find crab legs for G. We found a little fast food joint that served them in a vat of garlic butter and they were really good. It was pouring down as we headed back tot he hotel. Settled in for our last night here.

20250726 - Up early and to the baseball fields for the first game of the day. We got to sit in the stadium but it was so hot even in the shade we felt like melting... G had an amazing game going 3 for 3 and the boys beat this team 12-2 in just 4 innings. That gave us a little break and then game 2 with a local team that beat us 6-3. We thought that might be the end of it and needed to wait to see how the other teams in the tournament did before we knew if we were going to be playing tomorrow... G&I headed out to meet a couple of his teammates at a place called 'Juice's Fair Food' that served every kind of fair food you could think of. It was really good and greasy! People really weren't making plans so L&I headed to a flea market to see if we could find any business connections, but it was a bust. Back to the hotel and then L&I decided to head back to the beach to cool off for a bit. After the beach we went back to the hotel, got cleaned up and headed to PopStroke, a fancy min-golf place that had a restaurant and bar attached to it. G and some teammates went racing pro go-karts and had a blast and met us at putt putt after. It was a nice relaxing evening and to top it off we made it to bracket play tomorrow.

20250725 + Up in the am LG&I ran to a hotel to pick up another player and then meet a bunch of the baseball families at the beach. It was a nice set up and we rented a bunch of umbrellas and chairs and we all got to hang out. The had a cafe and bar close and it was a lot of fun. The water was perfect and it was nice to get the boys out of their rooms, off their devices and having fun in the water. A nice relaxing time. Headed back to the hotel to rinse the sand and salt off before heading to G's game. On the way to the game the skies opened up and thunder and lightening rolled and the game was delayed to an 8pm start. We hung out at the hotel a bit to stay cool and when we got back to the field for the game it was int he 80s and lovely! Our boys played hard and won 18-1 in only 3 innings! Everyone pretty tired from a long day so nobody really did anything that night but hang out in the lobby and chat.

20250724 + Up in the am and L&I headed to Coquina beach close to the hotel. It was pretty deserted and we set up and enjoyed the Gulf of America! The water was lovely, nice breeze and I got a palm branch and dug a chair into the side of the beach and baked. We were there a couple of hours and then headed back to the room. G still in the room, all the boys were, they can't organize anything... I ran G to the field and dropped him off and then back to the hotel to rinse off the salt and sand. L&I headed to the field and met us with cousin Jennifer, she came up to watch G play. G wasn't playing, he was DH... But then he got put in at 3rd and ended the game pitching and did real well and got the save. After the game all the families met at the Island Times Bar and Grill and we had a nice meal. Afterwards we went across the street to the Moose with Bill and Tiff to watch the sunset from their deck and had a bagpipe serenade as the sun went down. From there folks split off, L&I went back to Clancy's from the first night and settled in for some karaoke. The first couple singers were REALLY GOOD and L was like 'oh you can't sing here' :-) But I did and 2 other baseball families showed up and we sang until midnight. Back to the hotel and got G in the room about 2am.

20250723 - Up in the am and D came over to the LG&I to the airport. We got through security and met up with the McClains for the flight. Made it to Sarasota in no time, got our bags, car and found the hotel and settled in. Met up with Tom at the Walmart across the street while getting supplies and then we all met back up with the McClains at Clancy's Irish Pub where we had AMAZING ruben egg rolls and french dip for dinner. PLUS they had BINGO so we all got to play bingo tonight! After dinner and bingo we headed to the 88 Piano bar where we watched some live music and the girls danced. It was a fun night.

20250722 - Up in the am and L took Hazel on a walk and mowed and I got to the desk, got things rolling and got my things laid out for the trip. I took a break and Hazel and I went to pick up prescription for L's poison ivy and then to the pet store and got her some food and a new chicken toy. Home and I finished out my day and then ran to see Doc and let him know we were going out of town. Then hit the gym for a bit and to add to my tan so hopefully I won't burn in FL... Home and everything packed and ready to go.

20250721 - Up in the am and ran J to drop his car off at Mercedes to get the recall fixed. Back home and to the desk getting things done fast so I can relax this week in FL. G was up early got some things listed on ebay and then GF6 showed up for the day. L ran out to Marlene's to hang out with the girls in the pool. When I got to a stopping point for lunch I mad a sandwich and headed to back porch to eat with Hazel and throw her ball a bit. D showed up and J shortly after with a GIANT truck full of stuff. DJ&G unloaded everything and the house is packed! After work I headed to the back porch where I hung out the rest of the night. Couple of the Bible Banger guys stopped over, too nice of a night to be inside a McD's. In and to bed.

20250720 - Up in the am and L&I headed to Lewis Center to watch G's baseball game. They lost and baseball over for the day. We headed to Buffalo Wild Wings with Bill and Tom for a late lunch. Home and raining a bit, sitting on back porch with Hank and Hazel get prepared for next week. In and hanging out. D back from MI and Hank so happy to see him. L&I headed to Meijer to get some vacation supplies. Home, ate, watched the news and then watched Heretic movie, pretty scary. J home late, G staying at Trent's.

20250719 + Up in the am and G&I fixed the futon. L&I then headed to Delaware for a Kraft family picnic. It was good to see everyone and get caught up. Home for bit to let the dogs out and swim in thier pools to cool down. L&I then headed downtown to the Short Nort Stage to see Waitress. It was a super cute show, so good. We stopped by at the local Moose Lodge on the way home to meet up with Bill & Tiff and I ran in to a couple old scout leaders there. Home late from a busy fun day.

20250718 - Up late and to the desk. Got all my stuff done and then L&I headed to the Laurels, a rest home in Gahanna, to check in on Doc. He was sitting in the activity room all curled up. I took him a Hershey bar and enjoyed it and our visit. On to Lewis Center for G's double header. We met some parents from the teams at the brewery before the game and hung out a bit. G came in and closed out the first game and held on for a tie in thee second game.

20250717 - Up late and in to the office so Cory and I could go to a lunch meeting with some insurance folks. Back to the desk and finished the day. Home and got J and we went to pick his car up, $1,607 to fix the front driveshaft... I stopped and got gas on the way home. When I got home J was concerned with a sound his car was making, the driveshaft that broke free smashed into the catalytic converter and damaged it a bit... He also has a clanging noise that the guys at the shop told him should be fixed by a recall. J hung out a while and we all had dinner and watched the news. J then made a trip in D's car to get things from his apartment and bring them home. I headed to Planet Fitness for a bit. Home and settled in for the night.

20250716 - Up in the am and to the desk. D stopped by and dropped Hank off and got L's car for his baseball trip to MI this weekend. Finished the day and L&I headed to bingo, we had a nice crowd and Kelly won a jackpot. After bingo I got the karaoke machine fired up and everyone sang for a bit. Home and settled in for the night.

20250715 - Up in the am and to the desk. L went thrifting and picked up my prednisone for the poison ivy I acquired doing yard work Sunday... Busy day at the desk, G not working today so listed and shipped some things on ebay and ran to the post office. Finished up the day and had dinner with L watching the news and then headed to Planet Fitness for a bit. Home and watched some TV with L and headed to bed. J and two of his buddies showed up about midnight to get some camping supplies.

20250714 - Up in the am and to the desk. L got groceries and G and Jeremy headed up to the Farm. They helped GpaW with the tractor battery and then took GmaW to see the new Superman movie. Finished up my day and L&I headed to airport to pick up fer friend Steph. We took her to her car downtown and then L&I went to Myungrang Hotdogs for dinner. It was yummy and fun and we walked around a bit. Home and I ran to get a haircut and then G got home and told us of his day. I then ran to Bible Bangers to meet up with the guys and catch up. Home and hanging out with L watching Bachelor in Paradise.

20250713 + Up and headed out and cut down a small tree and ripped out a bunch of grape vines blocking the sun of one of my new maples. Weeded along the west then east fencerows and then cut out about 4 more trees growing up through the hedge. Overheated so took a cold shower and relaxed a bit. L Hazel and I walked to Rita's for a cool treat. Home for a bit then L&I went to see the new Jurassic Park movie, it was really good. Home and checked in with GpaW, he's back to being non-mobile and not eating or drinking, so guessing he'll be back in the hospital soon... G home late from GGF6's all weekend, not much to say about his trip.

20250712 - Up in the am and Hazel and I got on the road. We went to the post office and then headed to Granville where we parked and took a walk to a place sells CBD treats for dogs, but they weren't there anymore. Back int he car and headed to a Dennison baseball field to meet up with D and get the key to his apartment. Back on the road and we went through the carwash and then to a roadside stand to get some fresh peaches. Final stop was to pick up Hanky from D's apartment. Home and it pored down rain but I stayed outside with the dogs. L completely rearranged the upstairs anticipating J's return. L took Hazel in and gave her a bath, D came and got Hank and stayed for bit. Up late watching movies.

20250711 - Up in the am and to the desk. L got home while I was on a conference call. Finished my day and J called, his car died on the way to the repair shop. L&I went to him and checked it out and got him towed to the repair shop. We then went to Beer Barrell Pizza for dinner and then took J home and checked out the stuff he has to move out soon.

20250705 - Up in the am and L, G, GGF6 & I headed North to Hillsdale high school for G's double header. It was HOT! We set up an umbrella and settled in. GmaW showed up and watched the game with us. G's team won the first game and then Mark D and I ran to Subway to get sandwiches. Back to game two and they had a pitcher show up from Columbus that was the real deal and it was was 12-0 before we knew it.... game over... We headed to the Farm to check in and GpaW looked frail and thin. The farmhouse and the new landscaping look great. Back on the road and home in no time. GGF6's mom and aunt showed up and picked her up. L&I hung out on the back porch. I installed a bidet for L that I got at an auction for $2! Hanging out watching out TV and getting ready for another day of baseball tomorrow.

20250704 + Happy 50th to my buddy Bill McClain today!!!! Up late and G & GGF6 & I walked down to the parade downtown. The kids left after the corvettes went past and Hazel and I stayed till the end. Walked home and hanging out in the backyard. L&I got Hazel’s pool out and and put our feet in it to cool down. We took a break and picked up some auction wins. Home and more to like in the backyard pool. DGF13 & Hank came over to play and we hung out on the porch watching D’s game on GameChanger.

20250703 - Up in the am and picked up some laptops on the way to work. In to the office and got to work. We had habachi and I ordered chicken and steak but only got double chicken 😢 finished the day and headed home. GGF6 is here for the night… We cooked burgers on the grill and SteveW showed up and we had drinks on the back porch until other 10 other folks showed up and headed out front to watch the fireworks. The show was AMAZING! We went in to check on Hazel and the 3 CBD treats we gave her knocked her out. It was a fun night and we were up late waiting for G and GGF6 to move to separate rooms. 😜

20250626 - Up in the am and L&G at baseball early. GGF6 joined L at the games and they roasted at the double header day. I had an eye appointment follow up and everything looks good. Had to take it a bit easy as my eye was numbed and dilated. Got to work and got some stuff done and we all went to the Old Bag for lunch. Back to the desk finished the day and headed home a bit late. Hanky boy is with us for a couple days so we hung out on the back porch for a lot of the night.

20250610 - Up WAY to early and on the road to G’s University of Cincinnati Bearcat Bound Orientation. Got there just in time and settled in for a loooong day of presentations. G split off and was with the kids for most of the day. L&I sat through blah blah and I ditched here and went to the bookstore. We got to eat in the cafeteria and it was pretty good with lots of choices. Met back up with G after lunch and he’s got a few new friends and ran in to some folks from Gahanna that knew him. One friend in particular had him all smiles… the kids split off again and we listened to more blah blah before meeting up in the college bookstore to get some swag. On the road and home by 7pm. Hanging out in the backyard relaxing from a long day.

20250605 - UP in the am and G&I went to pick up his car, it looks amazing! I headed on in to work and L hung out waiting for the fridge to show up. Fridge showed up in the late afternoon. I got home, too big for opening so project for this weekend... L&I headed to Andrew Burnworth's grad party. It was a lot of fun and L and TIff experimented with their bidet and told everyone about it through song and dance...

Swung by and picked up some auction wins and then Maynard's before stopping at Pyrinex where G got his business class laptop for school. Back to the home depot to order the first fridge we saw... 20250518 - Up and L ran to Home Depot to get some flowers. Hazel and I headed outside to get things rolling. Got the flashing on the upstairs bathroom dormer screwed down and siliconed. Headed to the front and nailed down the front dormer flashings down and then painted them. Headed back and painted the back dormer flashing after the caulk dried. Worked on cleaning up the garage a bit. Grabbed Riley from next door and he painted the trim on the shed and installed new shutters up top. L played on the playset with Joanna while we worked. I then replaced some trim on the shed and painted the lower half and installed new shutters. L ran and got Chinese for dinner. We sat on the porch and ate and then in to the garage to clean it some more. In and cleaned up and watching American Idol.

20250517 + Up in the am and L went to G’s baseball
Game. I stayed home and got to work on projects out back. I got the slabs cut up for the picnic table. L&G home. G helped me glue up the picnic table top and get it strapped down. We then headed to the backyard and I turned him loose with the chainsaw and we got the rest of the logs cut up. L mowed and cleaned things up in the front yard. L, Hazel and I ran to pick up pizza and had dinner on the porch. In cleaned up, G went to Cole White’s to swim.

20250516 - Up in the am and L&I headed to OSU Eye place. Met with one Dr at 10 and she wanted to get the whole in my retina lasered so we hung around and met with another Dr and she took me into a room and zapped my eye with a laser! Home by 2pm. My vision was blurry and my eye a bit irritated so I took a nap. Up and L&I pit to the baseball field for G’s Sr Night. D&J showed up and walked out with L&I to meet G at home plate. Gma&paB were there and Hannah, Marlene and Steph came too. The start of the game was good, we were down and G scored and put us ahead. Them the wheels flew off the bus. I ran the sound and watched the beating. After the game Gma&paB, D and Hanna, and L&I went to Rusty Bucket for dinner, and then Gma&paB came back and spent the night.

20250515 - Up in the am and trying to get an appointment with an ophthalmologist. Only thing I could line up was tomorrow at 10 or Monday at 10. Did get an appointment with my local optometrist and she gave my eye a work over with more picks and diagnosed a posterior virtuous detachment. No relation to the hole in my retina, but not good. She also found a hemorrhage and said I needed to get the ophthalmologist first thing in the morning. Finished that appointment and ran to my primary care Dr for an after hospital check in. Home for a min and then I ran and got a hair cut. Home and L ran out to G’s baseball game and Penn stopped and picked me up while I was working on the picnic table. We went to Nostalga to have a beer with Evan Tremante on his 21st bday and his dad and gpa. It was nice to catch up. Home and L&I called Marko it is his 65th bday. It was great to talk to him and he retired and loving life.

20250514 + Up in the am and my giant floater is still there. To the desk getting things done. Hazel and I took a walk and for the second day in a row left the house with a nice day and got rained on while on our walk... Back to the desk to finish the day. L home and we headed to Grove City. Noticed bubbles, thousands of bubbles floating around in my eye now… texted with Terrill and he said get ur ass to an ophthalmologist tomorrow! G didn’t play, we stayed and watched. After the game we went to a Long John Silvers. It was a train wreck and took forever but the fish was amazing. Home late.

20250513 - Up in the am and to the desk getting things done. Today’s new thing is a new giant squid like floater in my eye! Tried to take Hazel on a walk and we got stuck out in a thunderstorm and got SOAKED! Back to the desk had a meeting and wrapped a bunch of things up. L home and we went out to G’s baseball game. it was the first game ever on the new turf field! They haven’t even had the chance to practice on it. The boys did good, G got walked and got himself around to be the first person EVER to score on the new field! They WON! First win in 3 weeks! Home and hanging out on the porch trying to get things lined up in my head that need done in the next 10 days.

20250512 + Up in the am and dropped L off at school and then headed to the PC store to pick up a couple laptops for work. Swung through McDs and got a sausage McMuffin. Noticed yellow flashes of light in my far left peripheral vision, strange. Got to work and ran to the storage unit to pick up some stuff that sold on eBay and then back to the desk and got things going. No CB this am so Cory and I went to Old Bag on our own and got lunch. We had a 401k meeting, CB showed up and we synced up on stuff and then I headed home to ship the big boxes. Got them shipped and delivered and back home. 20250511 - Busy Mother's Day
20250511 - Up in the am and L&I to church. We skipped bfast this week and swung through the Home Depot so I could get a saw blade and get to work. Home and D over, had trouble getting G out of bed... Eventually we got rolling on sealing the driveway and it went really fast. We got our driveway done and Doc's in record time. L warmed up the pork and we had a nice mothers day late lunch. J showed up and ate too. Boys left and I headed out and put a second coat on the driveways. Then I got eh saws out and worked on one of the benches. I really like the raw edge. Finished late. In, cleaned up, watched some American Idol with L and to bed.

20250510 - Up in the am and went to pick up groceries with L. She waited int eh car and I went in and got meat and beer. Home and unloaded stuff and I got a 10lb pork butt in the smoker. Pretty soon Vinnie and Penn and Gary showed up, D and Hank too and we headed back and got the chainsaw mill fired up. I spent most of the day slabbing logs, J stopped by and Gary stayed the longest. Riley helped me carry the slabs up. L trimmed the bushed and did a bunch of work out front. I then got on my hands and knees and started patching the driveway. Done late and the pork was done and it was really good after a long day. In and cleaned up.

20250509 - Up late and to the desk getting things done. L home and we ran to the school to see G's senior capstone project. He did his on yoga and baseball. The other kids did things like learning how to cook, painting fancy nails, research on growing plants, what job they would like... Grant's was good, we're not sure how, as we never saw him working on it... But his was one of the better ones, so that was good. After exploring the kids projects I ran L to CVS and then took my E550 through the car wash. Home and back to the desk to wrap up the day. Then headed outside and cleaned the driveway off.
20250508 - Slabs R Cool!
20250508 - Up in the am and dropped L off at school and got to drive my E550 to work for the first time since I got her back. OMG the ride is so smooth and the power is amazing, so happy to have her back! Got to the desk and got things done, had a couple meetings, pizza with the team, took the trash out and headed home. Hannah and Hank were here when I got home, so was the chainsaw and ripping chain I ordered. I got the chainsaw put together with the ripping chain on it and fired it up, ran great. I then got the chainsaw mounted to the chainsaw mill. D showed up and L cooked dinner for us. Then D helped me get the first cut rails set up on a log and the pully system set up and we gave it a try. CUT LIKE BUTTER!!! we flattened the top of the log off and then cut one perfect plank. IT WAS AMAZING! One of the coolest things I have ever done! Got things cleaned up and headed in for the night. Casey got a hold of me today and let me know he bought the car we went and looked at the day before I went to the hospital.

20250505 - Up and took L to work in G's car and G has L's car. I went to work and took it pretty easy. Left a bit early to go to Evan's Automotive and see if my car was done. Done enough so I dropped off G's car and got to bring my baby home.

20250502 - Up in the am L had brought me some clothes so I showered and got comfortable for a long day of testing. Had an ultrasound on my legs and a new MRI on my head and neck. Sending all results to Terrill and he said I'm healthy as a horse and need to get out of here. Neurologist wants to put me on Eliquis as a precautionary measure... Cardiologist in and says other than the PFO my heart and all arteries everywhere show no sign of plaque build up or any calcification. He doesn't think I need Eliquis, but said so it until after he sees me in June just to be safe, said we have to figure out why the AFIB is happening. Got released in the evening. Good to be home and Hazel was happy to see me.

20250501 - Around midnight they came and got me for an MRI. Didn't sleep much, too many beeps and alarms going off all night. L showed up, had bfast, sat around waiting... Headed down for a CT scan with contrast, the ladies said are you ok with blah, blah, and iodine, and I said NO IODINE because of the thyroid. So they cancelled that... Back up to the room. Waited, Same kid came back to get me and took me down for a heart ultrasound. I was nosy and asked tons of questions and got to watch as they injected bubbles into my heart and you could see them on the screen, so cool. The ultrasound shows everything is ok except a PFO, a tiny flap that never completely sealed in the heart, not a big deal, 30% of the population has it. Back to the room and waited some more. They ordered an MRI with contrast instead of the CT and leg ultrasounds, but by then it was too late and I would have to spend the night again... Slept better tonight.

20250430 - Woke up this morning and left arm a bit numb, but now face on left side, ear to eye and down cheek numb and tingly. L can home at lunch and I told her and she took me to the hospital. I was admitted. to the stroke floor and had lots of tests ran. Had to spend the night.

20250429 - Woke up in the morning and still had AFIB and my left hand and shoulder/arm was numb/tingling. Took some aspirin and went back to sleep. Up about 1:30pm and still had AFIB but numbness was minimal. Got myself up and around and to the desk working. AFIB went away at about 3pm. I had made plans with Casey, a kid from scouts when D was in to take him to look at cars. I got myself cleaned up, feeling pretty good and we found him a good car. Now he needs to jump through the hoops to get it financed and insured. Home and taking it easy, spoke to Terrill this evening and he said find a cariologist NOW and next time it happens call the squad. Slow night at home just relaxing.

20250427 - Light It Up!
20250427 - Up in the am and L&I to church and then Bob Evans for bfast. We then made a quick trip through Home Depot to get supplies needed to finish up some more jobs around the house. Home and L left and her and Nicole went over to see GpaB's choir concert. I got G up and D and Hank came over. We strung a cable from a tree to corner of the porch and then hung light on them. G left for work and D&I ran back to get more lights to finish the job. Home and finished stringing the lights. D and hank left and Gma&paW stopped by for a short visit after seeing a musical downtown. I then painted some of the horse out back and the dog proofing fence section along with any other little job I found to do along the way. L home and likes the lights. I was outside till late, the lights look great!
