20171030 - New Washer

20171030 - Up and a COLD slow start in to work. Had a pretty stressful day and headed home a bit late. Home and D got the white car ready and we headed to Lowe's. Stopped to get gas just as the car overheated... Got to Lowe's with the heater blasting to keep the engine cool and found our contact and got the new washing machine. Loaded it up and got home with no issues. Home and D&I scarfed down our omelettes L had made us and the whole fam went to Scouts to review the upcoming Eagle Court of Honor script Lori had written and for D to ask boys to participate.  Home and D&J helped me install the new washing machine and get the old one outside. The only issue is the new washer pumps water out so fast it overflows our standpipe... I'll fix that next week after the Court of Honor... Once the washer was in J&I took out the trash and the old washing machine had already vanished from the curb :-o Bible Bangers was cancelled this evening so I got to work on the program for D's event. I then had to get the wreath orders in by midnight and then stayed up doing work and watching Netflix until 3 (YAWN).

20171029 + Frozen Soccer

20171029 + Up late and L and the boys had a lot of things cleaned up already. I finished up the garage and then hit the office to do a couple of things. D&G headed to D-Bats to hit and I ran to Dave's warehouse to pick up some supplies for D to ship. Home and dropped the stuff off and met L at J's last soccer game of the season, it was FREEZING. J played a lot but they got beat bad (7-1). I stopped to get gas on the way home. Home and we had dinner, I ran to pick up G from his basketball practice and we got him some nuggets on the way home. Home and all boys cleaned up and to the basement to watch 'The Walking Dead' with a couple of friends. All boys to bed, up late formatting Dylan's upcoming Eagle Court of Honor script and sending it out to folks that will be participating.

20171028 - 12th OSU Football Party

20171028 - Up in the am and getting more things lined up, chili cooking and things ready for the party. I ran to the grocery, complete mad house, to get the final supplies. We had everything set up and our family and friends started to arrive. We had a good crowd, about 60 this year and the food and friendship were great. The game started off a little rough with the opening kickoff returned for a touchdown :-o The game was good, the Buckeyes were trailing the entire game except for the last 2 minutes where they pulled off a huge win against #2 Penn State. WHAT A GAME!!! Folks filtered out and some stayed to chat. L and the boys got most things cleaned up and we were ready to shut down for the night. A fun day with good friends!

20171027 - Wizard Couple

20171027 - Up slow in the am and in to work. Had everything lined up to leave a bit early and then in true Friday fashion things flew off the rails... Finished up what I needed to get done and headed home about 6pm. When I got home L and the boys had 80% of the setup done, things looked great! L had arranged for us to go to a Halloween party so I jumped in the costume she laid out and we headed to the party with G. D went out with friends, and J stayed home. The party was fun, we didn't stay long and got home in good time to get rest for tomorrow's big party.

20171026 + 47

20171026 - UP in the am and worked the am from home. Updated my reports and had my calls, D came home for lunch during a call. I finished up my work for the morning and headed into the garage to work on the big speaker for a bit, arranging the battery replacement and fixing the extender handle. Back in the house to catch up on email and other tasks. G home for a min then back to the school. D home for a minute, got G and they went to hit at D-Bats. J home, L home: man this is a busy place around 3pm... LJ&I headed out to pick up the car, the new illegal tint is on. J&I took the car and swung by the cable company to get a cable box for this weekend. We then dropped off a video on the way to Home Depot where J tested every color of spray paint they had and I gathered other supplies. Home and L cleaning up the backyard, D&J doing homework. I fixed the speaker with the new supplies, L had a fun time with a door to door salesman, G home from baseball practice and we all loaded up and went to El Vaquero for dinner. We had a good meal and good discussions. Home and started setting up the garage, took a break to open presents: D gave me a wallet tool, sort of like the one he got confiscated at the Statue of Liberty and a very nice card, J got me nuttin, G gave me some of his M&M's and a $5 bill he got for his bday. All boys to bed. Up late watching TV, G came down and was sick so ended up on the couch, we watched a video on the new iPhoneX that is coming out at 3am. I set my alarm for 3am and attempted to get an iPhoneX when it went off. 

20171025 - Movie Wars

20171025 - Up in the am and to an offsite meeting for work. It was a good meeting and we took a trip to our secondary warehouse to review the inventory there. Finished up the meeting and headed to the window tinting place to drop the car off. L&J met me there and we swung through by the video store on the way home. L got 'Hidden Figures' and I got 'War for the Planet of the Apes'. Home and we ate, D was working this evening. We then split up and L&G watched her movie while J&I watched mine. D was the tie breaker when he got home, but he watched the World Series... All to bed. I was up late doing email and work stuff. 

20171024 - Party Work

20171024 - up in the am and in to work. Started off with Justin wrapping things up before he heads out to add a son to his family. We didn't have anything planned for the evening so we just hung out and worked on D's upcoming party, the football party stuff and paperwork while LJG&I watched 'he Ghost and Mr. Chicken' (L's pick and she LOL uring the whole thing. J&I retreated to the basement to watch 'Seven' and LD&G watched the World Series.

20171023 - Dug In

20171023 - Up in the am, tired even though I got to bed in good time (YAWN). In to work and getting the week rolling. had a full day of meetings, calls and heads down driving. Headed home late. Food on the table for me, L cleaning up, D at work until 8, J getting ready for Scouts and G pestering me to get his ipod working while I tried to choke down some food. I ran J to Scouts and stayed a while to update the Troop records. Home and LG&I just hung out, L&I worked on D's upcoming ceremony. D off work and swung by Scouts to say hi and pick J up. All home, no Doc for Bible Bangers tonight, on the way there got a call that McD's was short staffed and they closed the inside so no meeting tonight. Back home and worked on stuff with L, then got an email from G's new basketball coach that he needed help getting TeamSnap set up so dug in and had the team all set up and ready to go by 1:30am.

20171022 + Hitting His Own Pitch

20171022 + Up in the am and all to church, well almost all, J was moving too slow so we left him at home... After church we headed home, D took off for the day to go to games with DGF7, I hit the desk and was there until time for G's game. J all over town with a buddy. G headed back to his game and L&I joined shortly after. G's team had a rough game, only 8 players to start. Mid game L and Gma&paW headed to J's soccer game. G had a pretty good game and closed it out, but they lost. With a little bit of photo magic you can see G pitching to himself. After the game G&I ran to his basketball practice. I attended the parent meeting and then headed home. L home, J's team lost the soccer game and he was out getting dinner with Gma&paW. L ran to pick up G and we had dinner with Gma&paW.  L gave J&G hair cuts and I headed down to the basement with J to watch The Walking Dead. A couple friends stopped to watch with us and D got home for the show. To bed in good time.

20171021 - Dip Painting

20171021 - Up in the am, L heading out to get groceries, D&G headed to a baseball camp the HS was putting on, J hanging out helping me, I did some planning and getting things ready for our big football party next weekend. We cleaned up the yard and then I dug into cleaning the garage. J had a bunch of friends show up and they did dip painting in the back yard. D&G home for only a minute before heading to D-bats for their grand opening. I finished up the garage, it looks great. LG&I headed to the McClain's for a cook out and to watch some football. D&J hung out at home.

20171020 - Markers Maker

20171020 - Up in the am and slow into work, stopped at gas station, messed with car... In to work and got started, gave a tutorial on an app and walked the floor. Back to the desk to get some things done. Finished the day with calls and data scrubbing. Home and D off to do something with DGF7 and LG&I dropped J off at the last home football game and then headed to dinner at the Rusty Bucket. We had a slow but good meal and headed home. L retreated to her her heated bed to watch TV and do some paperwork, D&DGF7 watched baseball on the big screen and picked J up after the game, G was busy making scented markers from a kit he bought with his bday money and bouncing back and forth between the baseball game and the funny 'Sidekick' movie I was watching in the living room. Eventually Netflix took over and kept me company as I scrubbed more data until 3am.

20171019 + Punkins

20171019 + Up in the am and in to work. Had weekly call and it went well. Got caught up with Justin and working hard on planning app. Home and ate fast then back to the school to catch some of G's practice. G&I then headed to the Pack meeting where it only took him 4min and 35 seconds to carve his pumpkin. There were tons of pumpkins and Chris Emmons and I named them and helped pass them out which allowed me the opportunity to make sure G's was the last one (he was happy about that :-) Home and talked to D a bit about getting his own cell service and showing him how much data (10GB) and text messages (17 pages) he send each month... To bed watching Netflix and doing things for ebay.
