20260616 - Up in the am and out the door. Saw the road crew in my rearview mirror so backed up and walked over to talk with them about where they put Doc's water shut off, right in the middle of his driveway, to see if they would move it. The main man on the crew said 'Yeah I think it is ridiculous too, and both the city and our boss said I couldn't move it because they were goin to put the drain basin in the yard.' So looks like not solving that problem today... The police chief was there too trying to figure out how to keep people from parking in our construction zone for the Creekside Jazzfest this weekend and we walked the road back towards our house. He was the detective that came out Christmas eve years ago to arrest the shooter neighbor and remembered it all. In to work, small crowd, got a call and some things done and we went to Old Bag for lunch. Back tot he office and the DF truck wouldn't start. To the desk to finish the day.
