20140308 + Up and DJG&I to gas station to get a 9volt battery to power the rocket car and then to McD's for some breakfast. Off to the Pinewood Derby races and J&G had a couple of the slowest cars there... I just don't get it. I follow all the rules, know all the tricks, and do the same thing every other person does to the cars and we can't win... Cars that come from our garage always finish in the top, but not ours }:-S Then looking around I realize my kids made their cars. Sure I helped put on the wheels and weights, but everything else they do, even G at 7 years old designed, cut out and painted his own car, same with J. So I'm proud of them that the cars truly are theirs... Enough said... On to look at a batting cage with John, then G&I to pick up D from baseball and ran into the Jew. We tried to get me a haircut but there were 6,729 people already waiting so we got the car washed. Getting the car washed with G is an absolute hilarity. When the big spinning things or the blowers are next to his window I put his window down and he screams like crazy. Oh the damage I am doing to this poor boy. Some therapist is going to make a lot of money off him in the future...
Home and J&G back to the park, D doing homework. L still working on the bathroom, I got things ready to ship for ebay and cleaned out the garage a bit. One of my Scouts stopped by with his dad to pick up some electronics equipment we were getting rid of, he likes to take things apart. Then one of D's friends stopped over so we could take him to the game. I chatted with his dad a bit as I cleaned. off to D's basketball game and he did really good, but they lost. it was their last game. We stayed for part of the next game and then bailed out to get some dinner at Massey Pizza for dinner. Home and D&I finished cleaning out the garage. I got cleaned up and we all headed down to watch Catching Fire.
20140309 - Up in the am and all to church. Home and D&G played in the playroom while L got lunch readyWe had lunch and everyone got a list of what they had to get done today. I headed into the office for a bit while homework and painting got done. Then I headed out to a rec-ball coaches meeting. Good meeting, saw a bunch of guys I knew including Big Head. Swung by to get a hair cut and make a couple deposits on the way home. Got home and D was posting on eBay, J&G were at the playground and L was working on a school project. Dave called to catch up and I called Leonard to discuss this years maple syrup flow. Little boys home, J doing magic tricks, D still posting, G was silent... I went looking for him and found him asleep on the playroom floor with his thumb and blankies :-) 
Cousin Jen stopped over to trade DVDs and have a nice chat. We had leftovers for dinner and when Doc got home D&I went over to fix his garage door, unstick and reset his garbage disposal and rewrire a switch and outlet in his kitchen. Home and the Pettit boys over to watch the Walking Dead. Packed up tonight's eBay sales and a round of Scrabble with Marko. All the makings of winding up a great weekend.
