20110613 - Lots to do this week

20110613 - Up, J to Cub Scout Camp, chaos. G slept in really late, L getting hair done, D watched G, played with him some and fixed him lunch. After work we all headed back to the school, LG&I worked in the concession stand, again... J played on the playground and D played ball, he got a hit every-time he was up tonight. I took over the score book in the 4th, D's Indian's won! Cleaned up the concession stand, home, G&I to blockbuster to get a movie and home for all boys to bed. Got Doc and headed out to the Bible Bangers.

20110612 + Work and Retire

20110612 + Up and all to church. There was a single service this morning and then the congregation broke up into groups and went out in the community to do tasks. We stayed around the church and cleaned up the grounds, picking up sticks, weeded flower beds and cleared a bank of brush.

A quick stop home to wash off the poison ivy oils and on to the church picnic. We had a good lunch and the boys had some fun. Home for L to make some brownies and Gma&paW stopped. We all headed down to Aunt Betty's retirement party for some good food and family time. Home, finished watching a movie, and everyone to bed.

20110611 - Close to Perfect

20110611 - Nice late start on a beautiful day. We all got fed and dressed and then took a bike ride down to Creekside. There were events going on and we had a nice walk by the creek and the boys got to so a scavenger hunt and a jump-o-round thingy. Home and D mowed the yard while G&I planted more seeds in the tree line and J made a harp.!.!.!??

The D went to the pool with a buddy and JG&I headed out for some fun/errands. We stopped at the ball fields to see D's coach from last year and his dad; it was good to see them. Then we hit Home Depot for some light bulbs and a bathroom break. On to Blockbuster and McDonald's. As we ate and drove, I took us on a drive to try and did a warehouse to buy. After J&G had enough of warehouse shopping we hit the pool to cool off.

We grabbed a snack on the way home of sweet tea, fried pickles and chicken wings. He and L&D had ingredients for s'mores. Sober had an extra treat. About 9'the guys from the Mastermind Garage started rolling in. It was a good meeting by fire and lantern light. After the guys left my garage door cables decided they would pop off the spindles... an hour later i got the garage door down... Now sitting by the fire listening to the bug zapper drinking a beer; what could better?

20110610 - Tarflugal

20110610 - Perfect day outside! L and the boys went to their friends place and played in the pond. At some point this morning J made this musical instrument he calls a tarflugal... I worked a normal day at the desk... I got an email that tonight's baseball game was cancelled, so I went and checked out the field, then ran to another field to see if I could find us a place to play. I hit the video store and the bank, trying the whole time to arrange another game: no luck... Home, had dinner, planted seeds with G. To the park for music and friends, got rained out. Back home and watched a movie with the boys. Up late watching another movie with D.

20110609 + Lottsa Ball

20110609 + Nice day, L and boys all to the pool. I sat here and got tons done. All home and divided. L&G went to get his baseball pictures taken and DJ&I went to D's baseball practice. Well there was only 4 other kids at D's practice so we bailed out of that practice to go watch G play. Oh G loves his baseball and he did really good tonight. Happy as a lark! After G's game we got some sandwiches and went to see some old friend's baseball game. They were losing badly but still fun to watch and catch up with the other parents. Home and watched a movie with L , 'Due Date', VERY FUNNY!

20110608 - Shock and Awe

20110608 - Up in the Am, checked work and got things rolling, then back to D&J's school for the end of year award ceremony/graduation. As the awards were being called out my boys surprised me! D got an attendance award, an award for more As than Bs, and a 'Silver Presidential Award' sign be Barack Obama :-o Then J amazed me; he was nominated by the kids in his class as 'The One' fron his class that was nicest and most helpful through the year. The girl chosen from his class was his buddy Meredith.

Back home and at the desk. Took another break towards the end of the day to see the 5th grade walk out: that is where all the underclassmen line the front sidewalk of the school and the 5th graders parade the sidewalk to cheering, high-5s and weepy mothers flashing pictures.

Back home and finished out the day at the desk. Boys home, J a bit emotional and we headed out for dinner, returned movies and watched some baseball. All boys to bed and then the power went out...

20110607 - Zoo Flip

20110607 - Up and boys off to school, only 2 days left and they are pretty excited. J did not feel too well again last night, but he was not going to miss an opportunity to go to the Zoo with his friends and Gma&paW. Took a break and planted some sweetcorn with G. Gma&paW arrived after a successful day with J at the Zoo. D&J home and making lots of noise. I trying to finish my day locked in the office. Out and Gma&paW here so we ran out to Red Robin for dinner. We then drove past a house Jeff & I bought to flip and then got some ice cream.

20110606 - Mondays R Fast

20110606 - Up and at the desk. Lee back today and marathon calls... Took a break at lunch to walk/'guter' ride to the bridge down the road with G. Then a fast lunch and dinner and ran D to baseball practice. Left baseball practice early so we could run home, get changed and then off to Scouts. Home and all boys to bed. Got Doc and out to Biblebangers

20110605 - Build Planning

20110605 - LD&G to church. D had a graduation ceremony where he got a really nice Bible. I stayed home with barfin J, but he is doing much better today. This morning I finished my one year quest of reading the Bible! When LD*G got home we all had some lunch and headed outside. D built a box (all by himself), J took it easy, G played sports, we all played a little bit of kickball. In the evening D&I headed to a Scout planning meeting where we had dinner and planed the 2011-12 Scout year for the Pack. D had Coke from a glass bottle which he had never had before, and loved it :-) Home, all boys to bed and out to meet Joe, Chris and a new guy.

20110604 - Hot Errands

20110604 - Up and working in the heat and yard on edging, mulching, shed cleaned out, re-potted some plants, L and the boys got her garden out in... A short game of kickball with G and them in to get cleaned up and out on errands with the boys. DJG&I Harbor Freight, Payless and Panda express for dinner.

We were going to see a movie but J was not feeling good so we postponed the movie and got J home in time to start :-o Jen was over for dinner and a craft with L and D&I headed to blockbuster for movies. D&G watched 'Gnomeo and Juliet' and I hung out with sick J.

20110603 - Up and good start, got my lists rolling and stuff done. A Scout Dad stopped over to drop off some forms and got me out of the office for the first time today. L&D to D's 5th grade pool party. I had an interesting call that came in; D's Coach was going to be out of town and asked me to coach the team tonight :-o So I did and we we had a pretty good game. I played players in different positions and we had hitters. problem was they had great fielders and our fielding skills didn't show up tonight and we got run ruled :-( boy still had fun and got to try some new things. Home, boys cleaned up. I finally had dinner, got caught up on the blog and planning the weekend.

20110602 - Fast Scattered

20110602 - Crazy fast pretty day. Sitting at desk all morning, helped Bob trim some trees at the baseball fields, to the bank to wire $ for Jeff, to J's relay race day, back home finished the day at the desk, calls, emails, ordering utilities... did i mention we bought another house today :-o

After an incredibly fast dinner L&G went to G's baseball game and J&I went back to D's baseball game. I kept score and tried to work in the concession stand, not so easy... L&G met us at D's game, G's team won his game and he told everyone about it ;-) D's team lost by not much again... they need a kick start.
Out running errands this evening, dropped off a check for the water install, a cable converter box, deposited 2 checks and bought lotto #s for June. Home trying to slow down enough to sleep...

20110601 - 5th Grade Relays

20110601 - Up and a good start to a pretty day. Getting things done at the desk and then took a break to see D and his classmates run their relays. this was the first time I have gone and it was funny to watch the kids.

Back home to the desk and finishing up some more stuff. All the boys quiet at home this afternoon, busy playing. Out to the table for dinner. Then G helped me put in some edging and mulch while J played with LEGOs and D went back to watch his buddy play baseball. G and I took a break and headed back to see the game and J joined up to spend time on the playground. Home, boys cleaned up and to bed. Watched a movie and did work email.
