20250925 - L&I went to the BB Aesthetic Westerville – 1 Year Anniversary party that our friend the Burnworth's own. They had a food truck and some Chinese food there that was amazing. not as may plastic people there this year s there was last year. I had my buddy Chris Bowman snap a pic of me and some beauty queens. We socialized a bit and then headed home.

20250924- Bingo@ Signatures. Shawn had a flat tire and came to the house after bingo and we got a plug put in it, pumped up and he is good to go.

20250921 - L&I headed to the Short North Stage to see 'American Idiot'. it was a rock play, it was different, but the talent was amazing.

20250919 - Woke up at 3am and was up until L's alarm went off... Up and to the desk working and getting weekend lined up. Heard a chainsaw running and didn't think much of it, but it kept going and going... So I walked out to see what was going on. The sound was coming from the backyard so I walked back and OMG! there was a Columbus Tree Service bucket truck cutting down our cherry tree behind the shed! I signaled to the guy in the truck to stop and he came down and I asked what he was doing? He couldn't speak English so the supervisor came over and asked if i wanted to talk to the home owner, I said YES! Bob walks over and I said 'Bob, what is going on?' he said 'I'm trimming the tree, it was hanging over on my side so I trimmed it.' Me = you didn't trim it you are cutting it down. Bob = They are stopping there. Me = Why didn't you talk to me about this? Bob = I knew you were going to act this way. Me = YES, You are cutting down MY TREE! Bob = well it shaded my apple tree and I had to take it out and all your other trees you had growing here killed the back of my arborvitae. Me = That doesn't matter. You don't just cut my tree down without talking to me. What do I do now. Bob = I don't care, I trimmed what was hanging over, and he walked away. Clearly he had a bucket truck hanging over the fence and cut 95% of the tree down. Not knowing what to do I called the City and tried to get ahold of the folks I know from the Landscape board and left several messages. I then called neighbors and other friends for direction and eventually the police. The police came out, they were not clear on the rules either so they started calling around. Turn out is is trespassing a M4 criminal offense, not really sure what that means. I have to now get my yard surveyed to prove who's tree it was, get an estimate on the value of the tree and take him to court. The police went and talked to Jodi and then to Bob. When the officer came back he said well your neighbor asked me if I was accusing him of anything and I told him yes, trespassing and he said ok and went inside, doesn't even care... Jodi called me back and she doesn't deal with him... L home from lunch with Gma&paB and Nicole and Lena shopping for a homecoming dress, and we surveyed the tree together. 20250918 + Up in the am and to the Worthington office for the day. We had a small crowd in today but got my stuff done. Had a weird text from Brooke, a girl that worked at DataField when I first started and then she called me. She had started a new job and was talking to one of the guys there and he said to her 'Do you know Matt Winger?' :-o It was Cory, his son played baseball with G for a couple years and they were a great family. So they called me and we chatted for a while, it was a nice surprise! Finished the day and headed home. L&I sat in the sun for a bit and then ate, watched the news, took Hazel on a walk, went to CVS and then watched TV the rest of the night.Dylan worked @ Columbus Clippers vs. Omaha Storm Chasers

20250917 - Up and feeling almost normal and to the desk. got things in line and got them done. L home, not feeling well... Hazel and I took a walk. Called J to see how things were going, they are getting the lay of the land the next couple days. Back to the desk to finish the day and then sat in the yard in the sun with L and threw the ball a bit. Took a walk to Signature's for bingo and ran in to a dad of a boy J's age that was in my Cub Scout Pack and caught up a bit. To our table and had 11 guests tonight for a fun evening. Did a bit of karaoke and not home too late. Watched some Ancient Aliens in bed.

20250916 - Up in the am and feeling better, to the desk work on a lot of things to catch up for yesterdays miss. Took a break and took a walk with L and Hazel. Back to the desk, out for dinner around 6. Threw the ball to Hazel and bit and watched some shows with L and then called and checked on J. They made it and like their Airbnb they chose as their home base. They are getting settled in the town they are in and coming up with a game plan for their trips. To bed and watched a little TV.

20250915 - Up at 3:55pm! Slept almost the entire day. Got myself around and did a couple small things, took a short walk with L and Hazel. Relaxed and watched some TV. Back to bed early.

20250914 - Up and not feeling great. Medicated myself and ran to the grocery to get some ribs for J's sendoff party. Home and got 4 racks of ribs prepped and in the smoker. Did some little jobs in the garage, touched up some spots on the floor where the coating was pealing up and worked on the Schlitz ball a bit. Watched football on the porch and kept an eye on the ribs. L making all sorts of sides and desserts. Pulled the ribs and got them on the grill to glaze them and finish them off and put in a big aluminum pan and to the oven to hold them for J's friends. J and JGF7 showed up and then J left her to pick up Justin and Charlie that he is going to Japan with. J's other friends showed up, about 10 of them. When J got back we got the food out and they kids had a feast. Nice group of friends he has. L and JGF7 got a little weepy together... Everyone left and J started packing for the trip... Up at 4:45am and I ran the boys to the airport and off they went. Feeling like I have been run over by a bus by now...

20250913 - Up in the am and doing thins around the house. L&I got ready and headed downtown and got a pretty descent parking place and walked to the Horseshoe. We got there too late for the skull session so just waited outside the rotunda for the team to walk in. We found a couple friends walking around and they stood with us, we have never been this close before and the players came by and hit our hands as they walked in, they are HUGE men! we then made our way to our seats, which were not together, one row apart and 4 seats off. We waited for everyone to show up and asked if people didn't mind scooting down and they did so at lease I was right behind L. We watched the band come in and all the procession of the pre-game and then settled in a for a nice win! We stayed long after the game was over and both OU and the OSU bands performed and it was really good. We thought the extra time would make getting out of the parking garage easier, but we sat in the car for almost and hour before we got out of the garage. Home safe after a lovely day.
