20250812 - Up and ready, L in to school to work on her room, Hazel and I walked to the corner and back, at the desk getting things done. Back to the desk, G asked if he could borrow my car to go pick up food he ordered... What? We had a little talk about all the food we had in the house from J's party a couple days ago, and how G needed to get his car running, and how he wasn't working or listing things on ebay for me, so how is he buying food that he needs to pick up? Didn't go well for G... We got his car running and charging the battery charged up, seems to be fine now, not sure what happened. Hazel and I took a midday walk. Had a call start at 2 that that lasted till 4... got all the new trust, wills, etc. scanned in during the call. Day over, out and L&I had leftovers and watched the news. We then ran to a teaching store up at Polaris for L to pick up some stuff for her room. Home and GGF6 standing at the front door, G was not answering the door, his phone or texts... boy needs to get his shit together... In and G & GGF6 headed out. L&I watched some comedian on Netflix before heading to bed.

20250811 - Up and still pretty tender so working from home today. L headed in to her classroom to start getting things ready and Hazel and I hung out on the back porch with the computer. Went in for a work call and then had an IT escalation to to deal with. G awoke and tried to get in to his car for a very short period of time before giving up the 'IMPOSSIBLE!' task... Demonstrating some perseverance I got the car unlocked and the battery charger on it. L home from cleaning and prepping her room all day, she brought home a bunch of dress up clothes she has in her room to was and Hazel was suddenly a victim... J had some friends over, I headed to Bible Bangers. Home and watched some TV with L.

20250810

20250810 - Up LATE and got the pork shoulders seasoned and in the smoker. Hung out on the back porch catching up on things and doing some reading. L&I gave GpaW a call for his 77th Bday and he sounded better today and planned on going out for ice cream tonight! I got the pork out of the smoker and helped J get the salmon in. Hung out on the porch till meat was done and needed to pull it as J's friends started showing up. he had about 15 friends over and they played games in the back yard, ate and had a good time. Bunch of nice kids. L&I heled get things cleaned up and headed to bed.

20250809 - L up early and to the Farm for Liz's wedding shower. I got up LATE and to the desk. Got the bills paid and then J&I headed to Giant Eagle to get stuff for tomorrow, he's having a party. Home and relaxing on the porch, J grilled some steaks and we ate. L home and told me all about the shower, she said it was very nice. We hung out on the porch watching TV until late.

20250808 - Up LATE and to the desk to do a couple things before L&I headed to Ashland to get our trust updated. That went quick and felt good to get done. We swung by the Farm to see if we could help GmaW with some things for the shower tomorrow and she had a couple little jobs for us. We got those done and things look good and ready. We went up to the house for a bit to GpaW and he was just sitting in the family room head down, not watching TV, not doing anything, looked a lot like Doc hunched over in the nursing home... GpaW talked a bit, but not interested in much. We headed out and stopped at the Black Dog Tavern on the way home for dinner. Home and relaxing the rest of the evening.

20250807 - Heart Ablation

20250807 - Up early and L took me to Mt. Carmel East and we got checked in. Got ready and wheeled in the a super futuristic OR that looked like something out of StarTrek. Got put under At 10:50 and woke up at 1. While I was out I got a heart ablation… This is a pic of heart, left is before, right is after. The purple is electrical current, it was all over the place, that’s what caused me to go into AFIB. So they isolated the electric signals so should be all good now.

Got sent home about 4:30 with just 2 little bandaids on… Had some dinner, a little sore but ok. Couldn’t sleep as I was asleep most of the day.

20250806 - Up and to the desk getting things done. L, Hazel and I took a big walk. Finished my day and Steph stopped by and we all walked to Signatures for Bingo. We had 17 folks join us and it was a good time. Still no karaoke :-( Chaff took me home as we stayed late to chat with folks.

20250804 - Cleaning Up

20250804 - Up in the am and ran to the computer store on the way in to the office to get the last o the laptops for our refresh project. Once these get deployed we will wrap up 3 year long projects! Today is the first time CB, Cory and I have been in the office together for 3 weeks. We went to Old Bag for an early lunch. Back to the office and I cleaned the bathrooms which led to cleaning out the cleaning closet. Had a call and Erin and one of her daughters stopped by the office. Finished the day and headed home. Home and threw the ball to Hazel and L made some yummy bang bang shrimp tacos for dinner. We watched the news and then I headed to Bible Bangers, good to catch up with everyone. Home and watching Bachelor with L before bed. 

20250803

20250803 - Up late, caught up on the blog a bit. To the desk and got a couple things done. J&I put a pork loin in the smoker and then ran his car to the tire place so he can get new back tires tomorrow. Home and got some email cleared out and then L&I ran to the farmers market to get some corn and fruit with a stop and Lowe's to see if the perennials were on sale yet, nothing. Home and Hazel and I got our nails trimmed hanging out on the patio. Meat was almost done smoking so Hazel and I ran upstairs to let J&G know and on the way down the steps I went in to AFIB... Took a couple of readings and then proceeded to pull the meat, slice it and finish it on the grill. D and DGF13 and Hanky Boy joined us for dinner and we had a nice family meal on the patio. L&I got things cleaned up and watched the news and AFV. I then got a shower and AFIB was gone when I got out... L&I watched 'Red Eye', an old thriller movie that was pretty good before heading to bed.

20250802 - Up and to the desk, paid bills and then L&I headed down to Creekside to the Vets, Rods, and Classics car show. There were a lot of nice cars there. L likes the big old ones and I like new fast ones. We headed home and hung out on the back porch and Derek S and friend stopped by for a beer and chat after they finished at the car show. I then planted a couple bulbs and then took Hazel on a big walk to Creekside and all the cars were gone. Home and L and I went to see the new Superman movie and it was really good!

20250801 - Little Doc

20250801 - Up in the am and to the desk. Had a slow day at work and got a couple of important things done. L&I headed to Nazareth for dinner and G and GGF6 came along. After dinner L&I stopped to Doc on the way home. He's pretty small and skinny but in good spirits and enjoyed the greek honey cake we took him and Mis Crews. We chatted for about an hour and then headed home and watched ‘Miller’s Girl’, which was supposed to be a thriller, but was a total stinker waste of time.
