20250412 - Up in the am and L&I headed to the Farm. We got there and helped get things set up. People started showing up and we had a huge group this year, we think about 120! The day was perfect sunny and a bit chilly. Had a lot of first time attendees and a lot of people i haven't seen in YEARS! The day went very well and the syrup was perfect. There was a presentation in the tent on the history of the farm and that is when DJ&G and their friends decided to start shooting... Things wrapped up at the Farm and I cleaned the syrup stuff up with Brads help. DJ&G got all the trash out to the barn and L cleaned inside. We hung out for a while and then headed to the dinner in Ashland. It was a beautiful place and just the perfect set up with historic photos and items on display. I was the MC and it was a nice event. We had a slideshow rolling that folks enjoyed watching while they ate, there were some special presentations by a county commissioner and a state representative. The videos people sent in were very touching and some very funny. Several folks came up and shared stories and then we took family pictures. It was a wonderful event! Afterwards we helped get some things cleaned up and headed home. Home late, Hazel was happy to see us, to bed and dead asleep.

20250411 - Up in the am and to the desk getting things done. L home and working on G's graduation invitations. I finished my day and loaded the car up. Had a bit of panic when I realized the cap for the hot dog machine was missing. But all good I had bought a couple spares. Everything ready to go and to bed in good time to get up for tomorrow. G had like 4 or 5 friends spend the night that were coming up to the Farm with him.

20250410 + Up in the am and drove L to work, we chatted on the way and both feel like a burden has been lifted off of us since G removed himself from Gahanna baseball. On to the Worthington office, traffic was a mess and it took me 50min to get to work. To the desk and getting the day rolling. Cory and I had a lunch with Brian an insurance guy, back to the office and wrapped things up. Headed home and picked L up from school. The yard guy was out today and aerated and over seeded the front and half the backyard today. Finished my work day, took Hazel on a walk, then L&I ran to Home Depot for sprinklers and hoses and some other things. Home and Hazel and I replaced the weather stripping of the back french doors and put the last screws in the top step out the back. Nate stopped over with some fencing to keep Hazel off the worst patches of the yard. In and had dinner and watched TV with L.
20250409 - Doc's 86 & G had Enough!
20250409 - Up in the am and to the desk. I prepped a pork loin for the smoker, L home for lunch and then Hazel and I ran her back to work. Got the loin in the smoker and then back to the desk. I got all the eBay shipments ready and was ready to head out the door to get my errands done when Glass Doctor called and said they were on their way with our new glass. So I couldn't leave... Glass done, L done at school, so went and picked her up, on to the bank to get some cash and drop off eBay stuff at the shipper. Then L&I went to visit Doc where he is staying during rehab. Today was his 86th b-day, they think. Back when he was born in 1939 they didn't go to the hospital, you were born at home. And when the age of IDs and Social Security arrived you had to find someone that wasn't a family member that could vouch for your birth year so you could have a birth certificate made and get a social security card. The person Doc found to vouch for him was his first grade teacher, she was 90 at the time, but remembered that Doc was born the year of the 'high water' = 1939. After our visit L dropped me off at Sport Clips so i could get a haircut, my plan was to be there at 2pm today but the window guys messed that up... I got my hair cut, called L and she was already on the road to G's game so I walked the 1.7 miles home. Home and got the pork loin out of the smoker and it was perfect! Hazel and I had a couple pieces and then I headed to Signature's for bingo. Texting with L and G not playing again... She was furious, I was glad I didn't go... Home and we talked about how G was getting shit on by the same coaches that shit on D and how we hate it so much. G home and let us know that he talked to the coaches after the game, he has talked to them after each of their 3 games, and they gave him the same BS story. He said at one point he stood up and the coach said to him, 'Do you want to continue this conversation?' G said 'No, I quit', shook his hand and walked out. GOOD FOR HIM! So proud of him for standing up for himself and not putting up with the crap that we have seen happen to D and many other boys over the last 11 years! It sucks that the baseball program at the school is so bad. I know G will miss his friends, but we can already tell he feels better.

20250408 - Up in the am and ran L to work. On to Dr. Larrimer for an appointment, all good. Home and got to work. Picked L up from school and she mowed the front yard and then cooked some dinner. I took Hazel on a walk. We hung out and watched some TV. I went to Planet Fitness. Home, cleaned up and to bed.

20250407 - Up in the am and G had already left because Sr. Tag started today... I dropped L off at work, shipped an eBay package and head to the Worthington office. Got a bunch of stuff done in the am and had lunch at old bag with CB & Cory. Back to the desk for a bit and then headed home early. Home and reviewed a couple things with L in the backyard and got the push mower started for her and she mowed half the back before we get it seeded. L&I headed to G's baseball game, G wasn't playing so I came home and got a couple more things on my list done. It started raining so I went out and got L. Home and L made dinner, G home and he has no idea why he's not playing... L&I watched some American Idol until the NCAA basketball championship came on. Headed to bed to watch 2nd half of game, I woke up at midnight and have no idea who won. Back to sleep at 3.

20250406 + Up in the am and L&I went to church and then Bob Evans for brunch. Home and did nothing for a long time. Eventually I got around and took Hazel on a walk and then went through pics of the Farm for the Bicentennial. I ran out and got L&I some fast food and we watched American Idol.

20250405 + Up in the am and Hazel and I took a load of donations to the Goodwill. Home and cleaned out the garage real good. Got the ladders out and sprayed them off so they are ready to use. Measured the shutters around the house and shed. Ran in and changed and L&I went to the Fury game at nationwide Arena for this evenings activity.

20250403 - Worked, took Hazel on a walk, guy came out to quote paining the house 🤯 L&I made a trip to Home Depot to see how much their paint costs, we did it ourselves 24 years ago... Home and put together the chainsaw sawmill I ordered to slab out the logs in the backyard.

20250402 - Up in the am and wen to have blood drawn. Worked, G had their home opener game tonight and HE DID NOT PLAY! I lost my mind and left early and went to Signatures for bingo.

20250401 - L's bday today! Guys came to install 3 new windows for us, only 1 fit, they measured wrong... In the evening D, DGF13, J&I took L to dinner at Rusty Bucket. It was a fun meal with the boys. Home and tried out my new glass eye, looks way better than the old one.
